  • My god... someone who can finally beat me at pullups!!! great work man!

  • damn! you withstand so much muscle fatigue!

  • man this requires a lot of grip strength... Seems easy but is not, at least for me.

I´ll go for it! Years and years of disciplined training.

  • I'm 15 and I can do 25 pull-ups been doing pull-ups for about 9 months all the way down too :)

  • @FireCapeGal Vids or GTFO.

  • lez go

  • Very good! how do you train do be able to do so many at once?

  • Very good! who do you train do be able to do so many at once?

  • when you are doing sets of chin ups do you max out every set?

  • very impressive.I'm 40 and only manage 18,working on it though.

  • @TheMrmannny " Only ' do 18? 18 is good, especially if done with good form, and no doubt you can increase those numbers.

  • very strong ! i can do 10 at 85kgs now at 18 but i was very fat before so it's good for me

I'm training hard , i hope i will be as strong as you one day :)

  • i think this is the youtube chinup record! perfect chins, no jumping around!

  • 0:12 the guy behind xD

  • AWESOME

  • awesome work very impressive! I'm at 14 deadhang pullups currently

  • Great job

  • wow, nice form... wanna do the same... I did 39 but not in full ext... anyway - my congratulations!!!

  • in your other videos you did 1 arm 1s, so did you just train for reps until you got the 1 armer?

  • holy crap thats crazy awesome! i can do around 20 ish, im 19 and training to join the USMC at the end of the year hopefully.

  • I managed to get to 24 chin-ups and 24 pull-ups so far. 4-5 months ago I was at 16-17 of them. Maybe one day I'll be able to do 37 or even more.

  • Great performance, Marcus! The wind is a handicap, maybe 40 chins could be done...Is this your actual record?

  • awesome!

  • i am 16 years old and i can do 7 currect chinups. when you were my age, how many could youdo ? :D keep up the good work bro!

  • that's great - keep training hard. do lots of pull ups in all hand placement configurations. palms in/out, wide and narrow. cheeers marcus

  • @reluba Im 15 and I can do 14 almost 15 chinups. Just keep paracticing them. (by the way lifting helps too)

  • @reluba I just turned 16 and I can tell you that 7 chin-ups is very little. You should learn to do atleast 15

  • @reluba im 17 my max. are 25 chin up´s pull ups about 18-20

  • so, i've decided to try and beat this guy, no kip. Up to 34 so far.

personal tip ~ i can do more pull ups after just waking up.

  • amazing strength

hmm he doesn seem fat... or v buffed up... is tt a weight vest??

  • Nice job. But I did 52 cold. And I'm 40 years old.

  • OMF UR so good at this, I am 18 and can only do 19 of these. Must train harder.

  • i'm 80kg i and i cant even do 1

  • PRO!

  • Incredible; congrats!

  • hot shoes too

  • GRANDPA WUZ A MARINE SON!!!!! PWn'n noobs!

  • 80's WTF!

  • did anyone else hear the zohan in the beginning? "so lets go"

  • chin ups but still good $!

  • how old are he?

  • DAMN!

  • good.

  • pull-ups not chin ups but that's great

    cool hat as well

  • those are chin ups...

pull ups are when your palms are faced away from you

  • great job, I can only do 18 pull ups

  • Awesome chinups. How did you ever keep your grip for so long!?

  • Very good job man!!! This is one of the best repetition videos I've seen here so far. I just have an objection with the title: as far as i understand, those are called chin ups, because the hands are facing the body, whereas pull ups are the ones you do with your hands facing the other way. Still, great job!!!

  • that is what I call "good form chin ups".

    great strength

    bye

  • hey man that was awesome wonderful work!

  • How many pull ups can you do? Most I've done is 30. Also, do you ever get tendinitis in your elbows from doing so many pull ups and chins? I've been doing pull ups for many years and just recently been getting tendinitis from overuse. Any suggestions?

    Awesome chins btw!!

  • this guy should teach the rest of the losers on youtube how to do pullups. beautiful reps

  • 19konsa86, let's see how many you can do... fake or not....

  • hi 19konsa86 - wow, thanks for the compliment but it's not fake. you can see the people in the background moving thru the 'cut'. and also, see my other vids - 'just' 37 pull ups is not really worth 'faking'. cheeers bro!

  • Great set.

  • Good job!

  • Good job! Nice to see someone doing clean chin-ups.

  • Yours is the most impressive pullup/chinup video I've found on Youtube. 37 good form reps w/o kipping and you brought your chin all the way above the bar. In some of the reps your elbows don't seem to completely lock out at the bottom (compare reps done in the beginning & middle of the set to the last few reps where your arms definitely lock out), but this is just splitting hairs, especially considering all your clothing.

  • So what is the correct form for a pull up? Chin over bar or top of chest to bar? Its been bugging please let me know!

  • now htats how yo do a set of chins.

  • damn, I cant even do 10 in once, better start to train myself.

  • Is this from the 80s? Just wondering.

  • I've searched the internet over for someone to do things the right way. I got much respect for you.

  • Now thats nice... Keep it going bro. (why bro ? im training on the bar too ;D )

  • lot of weight from clothes

  • How can you maintain the grip for so long?

  • by holding the bar with your hands.

  • finaly we see sum legit chin up not that cheating kick ups lol XD

  • ohh srry my bad ur not that old

  • lol! thanks!!!!!

    cheeers - train hard!

  • damn old man damnnn

  • your an idiot, these are chin ups, pull ups are with the hands the other way

  • nice, i have a video of 29 pull ups, although my max is in the low 30s ... (they are pull ups, not chin ups)

  • That was amazing! Perfect form!

  • That was very impressive.

I thought I was good because I did 27 a few days ago, at the age of 63. Looks like I need to do a little more work.

And, you did your chins the right way, you didn't do what I call cheating chins.

  • Great!Can we see a video?

  • 37 good chinups. You are the very first person I have seen on here that does them correct. Nice job. The world record is 46 with as many dismounts as you want in 1 minute. They don't have the world record anywhere that I can see with most chinups without dismounting, which should have no time limit on it. I bet you would be very close to breaking that record.

  • very impressive

  • You should talk the city council into putting up rings and p. bars. Using free bodyweight training apparatus in the park is a big trend.

If enough of you get together, with the backing of the seals, then council would probably do it.

  • That's excellent technique and impressive number. No swinging legs, fully extended elbow. Good on you for helping push fitness in Oz. Can you do a planche?

Last year at 48yo, 92kg, I could do 15 with supinated grip, which biases biceps and reduces lats, and doesn't screw supraspinatus severely like pronated grip.

  • hi helicart - that's awesome numbers on the planche! - cheers

    marcus

  • Dude u rock! How do you train?

  • is at the 80's?

  • Marcus

I have been doing chinups for a long time and that was awesome.

Also every other comment is from someone that can either do 100 or used to be able to do that many or knows someone who did!

But notice out of what 10 bazillion out there on you tube no one is able to post 1 video of someone doing real chinups like you did.

I would not doubt that you are one of only a handful of people your age in the country that can do that you might even be the only one.

    You are world class!

    Jim

  • Thanks for watching Jim - train hard - best cheers; Marcus

  • look at the video of the 46 pull up world record on you tube. It stops and starts at 9 or 10 pull ups.lolol

  • That is a real chin up with no kip 37. Now with a kip all bet he can do 50 hands down the world record here on you tube Is not even close to as good as this.

  • how often are you guys at bondi?

  • it dosent matter how much u way, it just matters wut ur muscle to weight ratio is, usually the majority of lighter weight ppls bodies is muscle, usually 200 pound guys the majority of their body is fat, thats why they cant do pull ups, because they do not have enough muscle to lift their fat, so if u cant do pull ups it just means ur out of shape and dont have enough muscle, just cuz ur light doesnt mean u can do pull ups ez

  • dude strong guys usualy weigh like 200 lbs +

just because they weigh 200 lbs doesnt mean its fat because muscle is more dense and weighs more than fat

  • oo nice

  • its always the skinny guys who can do these... like the navy seals, youd expect them to be real buff they they look like this guy!!

  • That guy should try for the world record of 46 in a minute. If he dropped some bodyweight I reckon he could get there...I think he managed 34 in 60 seconds. The world record holder is a lot lighter too.

  • That record was broken recently. The guiness world record for chin ups in one minute is 53.

  • Great work

  • That many times is all good , after so many whats the point ? Oh and you look like the dead boss from Weekend at Bernie's.

  • Hi shampoo - The point is that it increases upper body strength & endurance for most sports, esp martial arts. And I've been laughing all day about the 'Bernie's' comment! Too funny... cheers!

  • Im glad you took the joke in a good way ,thats what it was ment for. Im always playing around like that with my friends. Ya it does build like you said. Its just that I used to do pull ups of all kind . I love body weight I think it truly builds up your in a good way. Just that after so many I think when it comes to Martial arts or any fight its what you know that really matters. Or like B -Lee said Being in shape and high scence of sprituailty . Sorry bad speller , keep up the good work.

  • well doen i do 28 but only fully extend on the last 8

herd of someone doin 120 before well i know em

  • Man, thats amazing the most I've is 25 chin up and 20 pull ups lol.

  • MarcusBondi,

Are your biceps very big from this exercise? Do you do chins for your lat developement or more for you bi's? I am currently doing around 15 for my bicep development. How have your biceps grown from doing this exercise?

    Please share

  • hi smartmoves - my biceps are not 'big'- about 15" & i'm 6'1" & 183 lbs. chins/pull ups r great because they help keep your muscles in proportion... cheers

  • Umm can I know how you train? I got fitness test soon hehe. Even if I dont do well now, at least after i know how you train, I can do better next year. Please share =[)

  • lotsof sets, lots of reps, often, with 24hr rest in between. train hard! cheers.

  • I'll try!

If i remember you Ill tell you my performace for the year lol

  • 24 hr?????????thats too much....maby 24 hour a WEEK

  • Good job boy.

  • nice job. I can only do 32 atm but ill get there. Record in my highschool is 67 though.

  • Zhuangyao - please, let's see your '80 chins' - if it's not on youtube, it doesn't exist, or are you just a keyboard warrior?... cheers :)

  • Hard to believe most kids cant even do 1

  • hey! lol jk

  • wow that's exactly how you do it, no phony worm like motion that makes it effortless, and shows doing 40+, none of that crap, nice video man =D

  • LOL wish i could train there too all that lovely clean pure air,and what a beautiful place, sure beats this sh1thole that's for sure

Lastly all that lovely strong wind would add 10 extra onto my total as it would fill my lungs with lovely pure oxygen(yeah i live in a industrial town and the air is total sh1t)

  • gerry, bro, i hear you. come over & train in the wild ocean breeze w/ us! that salty whoosh of huge air is like pure energy. best regards, marcus

  • Damn, my record's only 20. I have a lot of work to do.

  • 19 used to be my record; focus & train hard & you will fly! Cheers.

  • chin-up is for the back endurance right ???

  • Back, bicep, forearm, grip. Works all of those!

  • Yeahhh!!!! Great!!!

  • That is just really impressive guys....what a chin up club you have going there. I wish I could train with you guys - that would have me breaking some personal best chin records for sure! :)

  • Marcus that dude in the background is hilarious

  • Yeah - he 's just horsin' around.... everyone's having fun & jokin' & workin' out in the sun at Bondi Beach ...& that's why you'd love it here... just your speed... but no snow ...or rusty bars!!!!!

  • that is super impressive!

  • That's awesome and great form too! 37 is tough!

  • want me to show you maybe ? ^^ I train pullups weekly...

  • sure thing man, that's what youtube is for! post your frontgrips! train hard & have fun! cheers!

  • Good job.. But backgrip not frontgrip , backgrip are much easier...!

  • A muscle should be used once a week

  • for endurance(not strength), what is the best way to train? do lots of pull ups every day whenever u can? or do like 5 sets to failure every other day???

  • jesus christ. i can barely do 11 pullups

  • marcus, awsome chin-ups, just awsome. do you always train with your bodyweight or do you use weights too?

  • hi bff- weights are good; but be SUPER careful & gradual to avoid injury - start at 1 or 2 kgs. cheers bro.

  • Very impressive indeed!

  • damn man you give better results each video.

keep like that. i was able to do 34 chin ups but i cant anymore because of no training for 6 months :[
