Iraq invasion started in 2003, so by the time of the 2004 election almost all serious candidates did not support an immediate end to the war. I think your comment is not factual. My husband is from the South of Iraq. He has been inn teh USA for 15 years. I am amazed at your English. I know Iraqi's that have been here 10 year and don't speak as well as you. Iraq has some of the smartest doctors and engineers. During Sadaams reign people did not have much to look forward to so they went to school and educated themselves.

Actually, Bush was elected in 2000 after running an almost isolationist campaign. Iraq invasion started in 2003, so by the time of the 2004 election almost all serious candidates did not support an immediate end to the war. I think your comment is not factual. You could argue that perhaps the Democrats may have played things differently but the damage was already done when we went in there and put incompetent people in charge in 2003 and 2004.

The Americans were in a different mind set pre Iraq war. I had a family member that was in American flight 11 first plane that flew into the trade center. She was colombian not even American.
