I remember it raines in the afternoon... but only short rainfall. It starts to rain hard l8ter in the year (I think)

August is good. Yes, maybe raining, but waves are best then through around December. Try Guanico Abajo and Camubutal (both on southern coast of Azuero Peninsula WEST of Playa Venado).
