My song is for and about all mothers who have lost children to violence and terrorism, including Chechen. The second verse expresses this. I wrote the first verse not as a comment on the specific conflict but after contemplating the anguish of the mothers of the children killed. I later wrote the final of verse about the suffering of Iraqi women and children specifically to note the suffering of Muslims.
