So is there a record for the most packed in one day by one person? Don't know if you all keep track of stuff like that, but I could see how once you know what you're doing and get in a rhythm you could crank out a bunch.
I got more time on a T-10 than You have in a T-SHIRT ! Just kidding! I was a rigger in COSCOM when the biggest Rigger Unit in 18th Airborne Corps was
SIX ONE DUECE ! I was Packer of the Year in 1990. I use to pack that parachute in about three and a half minutes. I was a Master Blaster at rigging T-10 's. Keep on rigging. Good to the last drop !
@linebacker901995 I was in SWC and 7th SFG in the early 90s NO ONE (Riggers) wanted to be anywhere near pack-slave hell SIX ONE DUECE. Back then I too could pack a T-10 in under 4 minutes. This is a SLOW instructional video I made for my future kids to see so I could show them what I use to do. I did this when I got back in the reserves in 06. You might be right with "I got more time on a T-10 than You have in a T-SHIRT" - but you can have that time - Packer of the year was never a goal of mine.
I'm David , by the way. I wanted so bad to get into SWiC back then , 612 wouldn't release any of us to transfer anywhere on post. Canopy Lane was home to pack-slave hell ! I finally transfered out of 612 by reenlisting for another assignment at DDRE (Defense Distribution Region East) @ New Cumberland Army Depot in PA. It was sham heaven ! PT on our own every day, on post housing within 3 days of reporting for duty. Off by 1300 hours everyday.
Nice video.I served in Serbian army as paratrooper and we don't use Riggers for packing ours parachutes. Each solder during training pack his main and reserve parachute for jumps while his parachute instructor only checks it on the end.Our parachutes have three turrets and each turret has separate cover so to pack all that is real pain in the ass.
Too bad that we use Riggers only for load drops and for pilots parachutes.
Hey!!! are you killing the parachute whit that knife? jajajajaja
No man really, nice, nice, nice video, i am a paratrooper from Honduras, we jump whit that same parachute, but i never had this oportunity to see the kind of job that you people have to do. very important and interesting. our lives are in yor hands.
