@Jakeshighz Shrooms usually last anywhere from 4-6 hours, and kick in 15 minutes to an hour after consumpton, depending on stomach content. The high is psychedelic, and has effects such as, euphoria ,laughing, philosophical or deep thinking, open and closed eye visuals, and rainbow patterns. A common dose of shrooms is aroud 1g - 2.5g.

He went to the Amazon as an anthropologist and had to take ayahuasca to gain their confidence, he got more than he bargained for, he was never the same again. He experienced Communication from the DNA of the wild life of the Amazon and it opened his eyes. We need to hijack the kitchen at the UN and cook up some of that stuff for the world leaders.

When I was between the ages of twelve and fifteen I had a lot of experiences that I only found out later on were deep meditational trances. sometimes on mushrooms you do get into this kind of state where you notice little things like the 12 oz bottle and your cat looking out for you, it's like it makes you notice or think about things you normally wouldn't

@demandspacetourism I think "properly trippped" is a fairly relative term since some dude below says he takes close to an ounce which sounds odd unless it's weak shrooms, does enough to have built that kind of tolerance, or he has an abnormal physiological reaction to them. I usually drop a quarter and wouldn't be able to play xbox. I do exactly what you seem to do...contemplate (what at the time seems like) deep shit and enjoy the visuals. I do stay awake for a long time.

@auspol04 I have had some super intense trips eating 1.5-3.5g of dried mushrooms... All about mindset and setting yo... Meditate daily for a week before your trip on your intentions to eat the shrooms and meditate that you may allow your mind to be completely open to that which the shrooms want to tell you. Meditate to clear your mind of any expectations. Abstain from food for a day before the trip. Break your fast with the mushrooms, and maybe a bit of food to ease your stomach. Have fun.
@jollincones Thanks for the low down amigo. I never prepared because when I was younger and "wild" I just did things spur of the moment, depending on company. But I will be getting some free manure this spring from the local farm (they usually give it away if you bring your own bag), spread it around the edge of the garden, and just keep watering religiously. I get where you are coming from we just look at the "experience" of exploring consciousness differently. It seems like sometimes we attribute "truths" being revealed simply b/c of subjective unawareness of physiological processes that truly give rise to the experience (like everyone's serotonin causing love when they drop x) and the "experience" isn't a realer source of truth than schizophrenia in the sense you could do an fMRI and see the neuro and real reason.

When you look at genetics and you quickly see that appearance of similarity doesn't make it so. I think beer's capped at 12oz. because 12oz. is the optimized amount for the amount-of-beer-to-can-cost ratio. It could also just be a habitual thing. I doubt it has to do with how drunk it gets you, because a teenager who never drinks would have to drink 36oz. in a half hour to come close to a BAC of .08.

@demandspacetourism I think "properly trippped" is a fairly relative term since some dude below says he takes close to an ounce which sounds odd unless it's weak shrooms, does enough to have built that kind of tolerance, or he has an abnormal physiological reaction to them. I usually drop a quarter and wouldn't be able to play xbox. I do exactly what you seem to do...contemplate (what at the time seems like) deep shit and enjoy the visuals. I do stay awake for a long time.

@auspol04 I have had some super intense trips eating 1.5-3.5g of dried mushrooms... All about mindset and setting yo... Meditate daily for a week before your trip on your intentions to eat the shrooms and meditate that you may allow your mind to be completely open to that which the shrooms want to tell you. Meditate to clear your mind of any expectations. Abstain from food for a day before the trip. Break your fast with the mushrooms, and maybe a bit of food to ease your stomach. Have fun.

But I will be getting some free manure this spring from the local farm (they usually give it away if you bring your own bag), spread it around the edge of the garden, and just keep watering religiously. I get where you are coming from we just look at the "experience" of exploring consciousness differently. It seems like sometimes we attribute "truths" being revealed simply b/c of subjective unawareness of physiological processes that truly give rise to the experience (like everyone's serotonin causing love when they drop x) and the "experience" isn't a realer source of truth than schizophrenia in the sense you could do an fMRI and see the neuro and real reason.
