My criticism is not upon your intent, but on the quality of this commercial in this day and age. Cannot Norelco release the vintage ad for our sake? :)
"Floating heads, floating heads, floating all the way. Norelco is the shaver gift to give on Christmas day!" It ain't Christmas until I see this little guy. Thanks for sharing!
This is the ad Will Smith talking about in The first Season christmas ep of Fresh Prince and he's mentioning watching it as one of his fave christmas pastimes
"He's sitting on the shaver!"
Note: I live on the other side of the Atlantic and have never seen this.
Glad to hear that so many people have such fond memories of this commercial. My dad, Len Greene was the designer of the series of Santa Norelco Commercials back in the1960's.
@champagne412 Cool! Yes, we 60's and 70's kids have fond memories of this. It was like The Sign that Christmas really was coming when we saw Santa on the razor!
Ahhhh...I love these old commercials that were out during Christmas. Brings back such warm memories, and you were even allowed to say "Christmas", and not have to worry about offending anyone. It's "CHRISTMAS"
I know!!! I noticed even this past Christmas...the local TV stations would have a "HAPPY HOLIDAYS" promo. But when I was younger, it would either be ..."MERRY CHRISTMAS" or at times.."SEASONS GREETINGS"...
Amen. I was raised to be tolerant and accepting. I knew not everyone believed in Christmas--they did their thing and we did ours. I'm so tired of people telling me I have to worry about offending people by saying "MERRY CHRISTMAS"....get over it, people...He's the only reason this holiday is celebrated. If you don't like it, simply look away. Tolerance works both ways.
NOW its Christmas...

This is the new one, not the original. The original showed the two-rotary head and was in black and white.

Most Norelco's had 3-heads. I had a rare 2-head model, just as shown in the commercial.

The Norelco Santa coming down the hill on his razor always meant "Christmas Time" for me. Great that I can see the classics too!
Thanks

The narrator is Peter Thomas who is now in his 80's. He is still working and can be heard on Forensic files.

Yes, he does a lot of voice overs for crime shows.
