Can these Honda Shadow Spirit VT750DC motorcycles sit at idle for a long time in lots of several consecutive stop light sections without overheating? Also, will the engine not overheat in very slow traffic, lasting hours, where air doesn't go through the radiator?
@jlubez it made the bike a lot quieter...you don't get that annoying slapping/grabbing sound that the chain makes when decelerating, as well as increased performance...don't hold me to that, but personally, I felt like it did...
I am trying to install mine but i am having a little trouble , were to hook up tha vacum lines , did you install it yourself? can you make a video and show were is everything is hooked up?
I have V&H short shot staggereg on my 2007 VT750c2. They have an awesome sound. Shorter pipes have a more aggresive sound if thats what your looking for.
I have one on my 2007 vt750c2. It does produce a little alone. Once you start adding other performance mods.... pipes, cams ect.... is where the power comes from. They all help eachother to produce the power your looking for.
I have been looking for the same air box intake that you have on your bike I am having no luck finding one.. can you help me out with where you purchased yours...
People who think this a sporteer knock off havent ridden either. Best looking and sounding Shadow ive seen here. I would suggest some progressive's though.
progressives would be nice, but they cost alot, and I already took a lower cost way of doing the same thing. I already lowered an inch and a half. The stock is at 12.12in, and the smallest progressives are 11 inch, when you rake it out with the rear lowering bracket that I have on it now... the wheel would be in the fender...believe it or not, but I already occasionally rub wheel to license plate bracket when I hit a big enough ditch...with just me on it...
what do you mean sportster knockoff? sportsters are tall and skinny and slow. traded mine for a honda been there and done the harley thing and never again they are still junk
lets see a pushrod 2 valve dry sump engine vs. a liquid cooled overhead cam 3 valve with two spark plugs per cylinder. you are right it was actually a buell that i traded but the engines are made in a harley davidson plant and i swore after that bike i wouldn't have another one. Nothing against american products if i could afford it i'd ride a victory.
Princess - your chickenshit ass has not been showing up. I've been waiting to help get you fitted for dentures. When are you going to show up you little bitch?
Hell, I have a Shadow VLX 600. That is smaller and fits me great. I am 6'0 and 190. Even does OK with my gear on for touring. Just can not pass vehicles quickly. Any Honda you can't go wrong.
Hey! Sweet bike. I've been looking to buy one but am concerned about the size. I'm 6'4" and bout 230lbs.. Is this bike small? Cool video, that thing sounds great!
It is fairly small, but not too bad, I have forward foot controls, so, I can stretch out, and it easily handles the 230 pounds of me...plus more when I load it down for trips...I am about 6'0", so you would be a little bit longer, but they make even bigger forward controls than mine, so I would check that out...but it's definitely not a valkerie or goldwing.
what lights did you use for the rear turn signals? and did it take any extra work to mount them? I recently got this model and was looking for ideas on how to improve it.
the fronts and rears are both kuryakyn. As I mentioned along time ago I will be putting another video up in the spring, and the spring is almost here! I hope to have it done by the weekend. There are a few noticeable modifications that will be visible then...like loud exhaust...
I had it done by someone else, I got the kit from scoot works...you can look there for the kit,and I took it there to get it done for me, no shipping costs :-)
it is a billski tail light mod. it fits right up under the fender, I like it because it makes the whole back fender more streamlined, it changes alot about the look, I got mine from Cruiser Customizing, but I think they can be foudn all over, but that is the brand name. Thanks for the comment, I have changed a little bit since then, so, keep an open eye for a new video this spring...it's better than ever!
i will in the spring...I already bedded it down for the winter...but to give you an idea...there is a car with an alarm in the parking lot I ride through sometimes, and it sets it off everytime...without any reving...just idle/cruise speed...
Love the hyper charger I have a Sabre 1100 and wish I could put 1 on it

does the hypercharger boost horsepower?
bluechica009 2 years ago
they say it boosts up to 15%, I don't know how much I believe that figure, but it does help, and it looks cool too...

mine is a kuryakyn hypercharger...thunder mfg also makes them for honda shadows...either one would work...

Did you get more HP with the hypercharger? Looking for ways to squeeze more out of my '02 but I have no desire to make more noise. Shadows ROCK!
