this is a really good top 10 list, it shows many different animes, even some that isn't concidered very mainstream. Sure those big, shounen animes, like One Piece, Bleach, Dragon Ball and Naruto, but what's the point in bringing up mainstream stuff like that... Everybody's already seen that crap anyway.

I totally agree on the #1, Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann is one of the, if not THE, best animes out there. More people should take some time off their busy nerd-schedule and watch it. Rock On!

Nice choices for the final 4. There was no doubt, that TTGL would make the top spot it simply was the question of which scene it would be. Personally I simply can't decide because the ENTIRE Anime is one big Epic Scene that just blows every other Anime away. Nice to see Clannad here as well as it had many epic scenes as well. I really like season 2 with the fight between Tomoya and that Gang leader.

But as for the "well known"-think I'd thought, that at least TTGL and Clannad are as well known as Code Geass. they are all great but there are lots of more epic scenes in animes which are a little better than ur 10th or else:

Naruto: the fight with sasuke; or the scene where naruto tells zabuza about being human.

FLCL: the scenes with the manga switches, or where the girl starts to think that the robot is a god where he flies up or where tac is saying that his brother isint here anymore and that he will protect her and the robot comes flying down and is looking really cool.
