@fleabag000 lol yes that was my plan , I hate opening a box (hood) and going ...ok there are spark plugs somewhere in here ...wait ...where is the engine shaking your head as all you see are a bunch of plastic covers hiding it lmao !
@Antoeknee19 ***not a smart a** answer*** no matter what anyone tells you , no spark plug comes pre-gapped , they are made in a way that they are designed to have a certain range they can be gaped in , so they may be close to right , but need to be adjusted to be correct , even rough handling of them can affect if there is even a gap present when you unbox them , any parts store will gap them up for you at the counter if you ask , but I would buy one of the gap tools there incase you drop one

@RoniisH one would think that yes , but bill gatton mazda said it is indeed , thats why none of the parts for a normal 3 don't fit , the vin sure does decode as a speed car , I told them I wanted the turbo
Good vid, reminds me I should probably check mine...... its been 50k miles. I remember changing plugs on a 3.8 in a 84 grand prix. Step one on the back plug drives side was almost always break the ceramic part off first, then unscrew the rest, LOL.
That is a heck of alot easier than some of those sidways sitten fwd cars.Some of them you would think you have to take apart half the engine to get at the back ones.I don't like sideways engines or fwd really.I guess in part to that also is these cheaper fwd cars have no frame except around the engine and the back axel is more or less a trailor axel.
Very good! Couldn't be any more clear. Takes the 'unknown fear' out of the unknown. Great, thanks,,,,,,,,,,

@Jordan454545 yes it is , want the first of the vin ?
towrecker 10 months ago
@towrecker It's not. It's a regular Mazda 3. Mazdaspeed 3 has the 2.3 DISI Turbo motor.

towrecker 8 months ago
@towrecker Well, interesting car in that case...
RoniisH 8 months ago
@RoniisH I think it was ordered by mistake somehow , it has the speed suspension and all , just the wrong engine ...well missing turbo lol
towrecker 8 months ago
@Jordan454545 not a turbo one but you change the plugs the exact same way.. Only difference is you got to remove the top mount first.
KrGsMrNKusinagi0 8 months ago
say you were to install new plugs...do you need to calibrate the plugs at all using gage blocks or something?
c7lee 10 months ago
@c7lee the plugs do need to be set yes , but any parts store will help you out with that if you ask , very quick ,and simple .
