For those who don't have a grasp of Japanese, the start is Wodan and Sanger discussing Sophia, and the fact that Sanger should truly be her protector. Sanger, surprised by this, moves to her, and Egret sends Uruz to stop him. Uruz is surprised that Sanger manages to deflect his attack from behind, prompting "Shut up! AND LISTEN!" After the cleave, Egret comments on Sanger killing him instantly, to which Sanger replies as he should. "I told you... there is nothing I cannot cut."

The only reason this scene wasn't in the anime was because they couldn't find any possible way to include it without the Einst and the Inspectors fleeing for their lives after witnessing, from outer fucking space, Wodan swing his mech's sword with so much damn power that it caused a bigass explosion that pretty much destroyed the entire facility that was specifically designed to withstand the end of the world. All to cut a single man.

People think that Sanger is so cool just because he can kill you in one hit, and because he has an admittedly cool catchphrase. Sanger's one hit swipe and Folka's beating both count as an attack. Just because Sanger's killer move is short and to the point doesn't make him an automatic bad ass.

As for Wodan, the Alpha and OG universes are separate. In the OG Sanger never had the Thrudgelmir, it was always Wodan's machine.

But Wodan was clearly modeled as an homage to the alternate future Sanger from Alpha Gaiden.

- Alpha (Alpha, Alpha Gaiden, Alpha 2, Alpha 3)

All other games take place in separate, unrelated universes.

Classic, Alpha, and OGs are separate universes and everyone knows about em, while all those other ones are separate universes too but not everyone knows of the games they came from.

This explains why there are so many games for SRW. They never stick to the same story forever. Its a clever way to make money. If only they did the same this time instead of bringing OG Saga Frontier out. I don't hate the game, its jus so..different. But that's another story.

one of the things that makes OG's stories so amazing is that they use stories from completely differant universes that have completely differant stories. Then all these heros come together to fight these foes they never would have to face before.

None of them :) They are just alternates universe with no serious correlation between them. It's more properly to say "timelines", like in gundam. You have alpha timeline with their own multiverse (multiple mirror universes) and OG timeline with their own multiverse: Some examples are Zengar universe (the playable area), Wodan Ymir universe, and (amongst others) Endless frontier universe, from the spinoff, but closely related with the main OG one.
