  • THIS WAS ON PBS AN ENTIRE YEAR AND I NEVER KNEW ABOUT IT?

  • It'll be funny when America watching PBS experiences Reichenbach. Everyone will just be depressed forever.

  • This show is AWESOME!

  • Will there be reruns of Sherlock series 1 on PBS? I have seen them on Netflix multiple times, but I don't want to miss it if it ever airs again.

  • @minopoke Yes -- season 1 will re-air on PBS in early 2012. Season 2 starts in May 2012.

  • perverted. disgusting

  • @anfearliath Eh?

  • @anfearliath

    And hot.

  • Also is this show shown in america because i never heard of it until i watched it on netflix and it was awsome

  • @BlueBROWNPRIDE Me too! I can't wait for the next three episodes!

  • I want to be sure has there only been 3 episods

  • @BlueBROWNPRIDE yes -- that is correct. Sherlock returns to PBS in 2012, though!

  • @PBS I have only watched one show and I am just... grateful? I will be waiting for Season 2 as well. I'm hoping for way more episodes. Also, where can I find a complete list of the british shows? Secrets of the Manor House is absolutely outstanding! Thank you PBS.

  • Next three episodes will be based upon the most famous three Sherlock Holmes stories: A Scandal in Bohemia, Hounds of the Baskervilles, and The Final Problem/Reichenbach Falls.

    ...cant wait.

  • does anyone else think that Benedict Cumberbatch (sherlock) has the most beautiful eyes? I mean jesus I couldn't stop staring

  • Now THAT brings a whole new twist to the Holmes/Watson relationship. AWESOME!

  • Cuz you're an idiot.... Sherlock, you rock.

  • @sherry759 Awesome! Thank you! I love the series so much and I have to try and keep my mind off it so I don't think about the long wait, but it'll be worth it! :)

  • When's series two coming out!!!??? I need more Sherlock!! <3

  • @RebelPrincess20101 I heard they're going to start filming in May and it's going to air in Britain somewhere in the autumn. :D So excited!!

  • Moriarty missed the "Like" button.

  • stupid stephen moffet only made three episodes :(

  • EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT.

  • SOOOOOOOOO GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD

    PLEASE show this again, SOON!

  • @ilurvemv Are there any other websites you can watch it on without downloading it or paying? Because it's going off of the PBS website pretty soon, and I don't own the DVD, and I might go into withdrawal without it! :'(

  • The series was fantastic! I can't wait for more! (:

  • this show was love at first episode. or more like first 5 min of episode.

  • absolutely clever and engaging. I can't wait for the next season to start. AMAZING

  • Love this show! Clever; creative; well scripted & well played. Why do the Brits seem to do it better than the Yanks?

  • My new favorite show!! I was really skeptical when I heard it was set in the 21st century, but I saw one, and seriously, it's even better than the movie!

  • terrific show. It's amazing to me how they how this made this updated version completely plausible. Sherlock Holmes and Conan coming back-life is great!

  • This was great! I totally loved it and can't wait until next Sunday. It's nice to have a great show to look forward to now that "Mad Men's" done for the year. Even if "Sherlock" is only three episodes long.

Also, I'd like to say that as taxpayer, I wouldn't mind it at all if PBS added "The Thick of It" to its lineup of BBC shows. Uncensored, please!!!

  • This was AWESOME!!!

  • IT WAS AWESOME!! A new fan gained here tonight! Can't wait for the 31st.! Great score/title theme song as well-very catchy!

  • IT WAS AWESOME!! A new fan gained here tonight! Can't wait for the 31st.!

  • I just watched. This is brilliant.

  • At first I was a bit uneasy- it seems as if everything is getting remade these days, and not always for the better.

But this....this looks absolutely brilliant! I have always wondered if Holmes simply using deductive reasoning would still work in today's world. Well, it looks like it can, and still stay true to the original feel of his character.

Bravo BBC! Please, keep this fantastic work going-- 3 episodes has only whet our interest!

  • Sherlock never goes out of style. Can't wait until it gets to the US

  • I couldnt wait so I watched it online

It was amazing! I can't wait to see them again on PBS

  • WOW! stephen moffat does sherlock holmes so GREAT. can't wait to see it on a real TV.

  • hnngghhhh. I've been reduced to incoherence. I've already rewatched this series too many times for it to be considered anything else but creepy, and NOW I CAN WATCH IT AGAIN. :D LOL omg what is my life. D:

  • US premiere october 9th @ New York Comiccon. Can't wait.

  • I watched this when it aired in the UK and I'm just itching to watch it again.

  • I'm definitely going to watch!!!!

  • This is wonderful! My family and I can't wait to see it on a full-size screen. Does anyone know why many actors playing Holmes seem to be required to have names that sound like stock characters in a Dickens' novel? (Benedict Cumberbatch, Basil Rathbone...)

  • Add me to those who have see it online and can't wait for the actual airing on October 24. A brillian reimagining of the Holmes icon for the 21st Century. Brett was Holmes as Doyle wrote him, but this new version cleans off the dust,

  • I've already watched it online, but I can guarantee you I will be watching it on PBS too. Simply AMAZING show!

  • @cristiline93 Same here. I'm so looking forward to this.

  • @cristiline93 Where did you watch it online? :o!

  • @animelovingfreak, if you're in the US you can watch Sherlock on PBS's website. Go to PBS's official website (you'll have to Google, youtube won't let me post a link) and click on 'watch video' and you should see the episodes listed at the bottom.

  • @cristiline93 where in the world did you watch it online? Please tell me for I am a huge fan of this show.

  • This looks so d**n good!

  • Wow PBS getting this show! they have not something this good sense the Prime Suspect series.

  • Yes! PBS needs to air more amazing British shows like this and less of the boring old shows

  • This is one of the best things (movie or tv) that I've seen in quite a while. Can't wait for it to air on US television.

  • About to explode with excitement!!!!!! A whole month away?

  • already saw it but that will not stop me for seeing without desperately searching the computer for it and painfully bending over to view it on the computer

  • lucky enough to have seen this already, and it is absolute perfection!! the game is on :)

  • Oh my gosh, this is going to bring mystery to a whole new level XD XD

  • Martin Freeman, OMG< I love him!!!!

  • *squee* I'm sooo excited! Why does October have to be so far awaaaaaayyy? D=

  • Ehhh what channel is PBS usually on?

  • @tizztastic channel 11 Chicago, I don't know about anywhere else. Public Broadcasting System

  • @tizztastic i think it depends on your service and where you're located. u could look it up on tv guide, but for me it's channel 11.

  • @tizztastic

Where I am it come on channel 9

  • Its an amazing show, favorite of 2010!!

  • i.ve watched already and its great really its well done and a good twist, 3 episodes of 90 min. and it will have a second "season" moffat said. its out there if you cant wait.

  • Have seen all three episodes & am over the moon about the series (even though ep 2 had weak writing). Also thrilled to hear the writers/producers are currently in talks for more episodes. A must-see for any fan of The Great Detective & the folks in charge hold both the characters & Conan Doyle's stories in very high regard, as should be.

Wonderful chemistry, slick styling--lots of humor & references to the Holmes canon. Seeing the momentous meeting of Holmes & Watson is a rare treasure.

  • An intriguing concept bringing Sherlock Holmes into the present day, though somewhat of a gamble. It was first done back in the 1940's with the Rathbone-Bruce series to great success, but then a failed TV pilot aired in 1990 called "221B" (where Holmes awakened in the present from a cryogenic freeze). I will be curious to see if the series still uses plot elements from the classic stories. The actor portraying Sherlock is definitely good.

  • I will tune in...if I can wait until October lol! Gotta say though this Sherlock is hott!

  • @doctorw2: that actor (Benedict Cumberbatch) was offered the part of the 11th Doctor, and was in talks with David Tennant over it, but ultimately turned it down. And the current Doctor, Matt Smith, was considered for the part of John Watson, but they thought he was "too barmy". So he got the part of the Doctor instead.

  • Glad to have this coming to America. A wonderful, tongue-in-cheek modern adaption of Sherlock Holmes. Cumberbatch and Freeman both work well together and Cumberbatch is a great young Holmes. I'm hopeful it'll be as big a hit as in the UK.

  • wow now that actor who plays sherlock should have been cast as the 11th doctor wearing the clothes he has playing the sherlock character.

  • wha? why is their a dramatic version of this trailer for america?

  • @OnePeicePiret To make people want to watch it. It worked for me; I'll be tuning in.

  • What the- America has to wait until October before it airs? D8 No fair. v_v But I got to say this- the american commerical is pretty cool :D

  • the guy who plays sherlock was in another seris on masterpiece contemparary something about an enemy or something xD

  • Can't wait. I'm really looking forward to this.

  • can't wait!!!

  • Thats sooooo original!

  • This preview doesn't do it justice!

Have only seen 1 episode, but it's superb!

  • Oh! Yes, yes yes! I cannot wait for this! This is going to be brilliant!! Something to look forward to in the autumn! :D Thank you so much PBS, I bloody love you!

  • Looks very exciting! Looking forward to giving it a watch.

  • This is a great Show.

  • Looking forward to this! Haven't seen masterpiece in years either!

  • Oh wow Martin Freeman with Steven Moffat attached? I've never heard of Benedict Cumberbatch but this all looks really good and I can't wait for it to air!
