The ending with the floating head is the 20,000 hit boss, the entire time that is on the screen the person playing is spamming the button in order to win.

Were part of this sped up/edited, or have the claims been grossly exaggerated?

I was led to believe that the Karaoke and "do nothing at all" parts went into the hours, and you had to throw 20,000 random punches at one point.
