I really enjoy your videos!!! I LOVE to travel but I'm recovering from surgery right now so no trips for me for a couple months :( Sooo I'm going to live vicariously through your videos lol! But come May I'm going to take part 2 of my Atlanta vacation (part 1 was in November). Looking forward to coming back!
OMG! You've done a fantastic job at showing Buckhead neighborhood of Atlanta. ATL is one of my three favorite cities in the US. Keep up the good work!
i love atlanta and i looooooove the buckhead area of atlanta. its so classy and clean. im in love with the atlanta skyline and its crazy because ive been fascinated with it for so long that now that buckhead has one i feel like im neglecting the atlanta skyline for this one but i love the fact that they've built a city inside of a city. i can go on and on but i just wanted to say i hope they continue the progress in buckhead and conect this skyline with the atlanta skyline. that'll be crazy
@meesternadim : 2006, Not that I mind but why does this matter? many people have asked this question. FWIW On longer trips I use my wife's 2006 Acura MDX.
@Freewayjim i asked a couple of months ago because i was in the market for a car and see how much you travel and enjoy road trips. I thought you must have a comfortable reliable car to drive. So i was weighing options.
@patrick560sl: Well I can tell you both the Acura TL and MDX are fun as well as comfortable to drive and I'd highly recommend either. Mine are 2006's so I imagine the newer models are even better.
The reason you asked what I drive makes sense, for some it's like...what does it matter?
Atlanta and Dallas are very similar as far as freeways, scenery and road structure go except Dallas has posts instead of wires to hold their street signs and traffic lights.
I hate that those six lanes are stuffed together up along Peachtree, from Spring Street to North Druid Hills Road. Then those curbs seem to jut out too.
Interesting video, I followed it on Google Earth. Peachtree road is a good example of urban strip development. The areas left and right off the road are low-density housing, but with higher density developments directly along the road.
I agree the Buckhead skyline looks great. I like this concept of multiple downtowns. That way, not all of metro Atlanta would have to commute to 4 square miles.
Very nice video, my uncle briefly lived in a residential area not too far east of Lenox Square and the intersection where you made the turn at 5:06 before he got married. Between both this video and Google Street View, it's amazing how much new development has occurred in the Buckhead area, versus even 10 years ago!
Well it does have MARTA in three locations, the one mentioned in the video and one at Lenox Square not to mention Lindberg. The Northeast & North lines meet for the most part over GA-400 in the last part of the video.

No, I did not have a chance to get out at a time that would have been good to record anything.

I think the Buckhead area should bury all of those wires hanging around the street. It makes it look very cluttered in that area because of them.

Another smooth one Jim. Atlanta has some smooth looking roadways....

OMG! I can't get over how much Atlanta and Dallas copy each other.

I've only been to Dallas once (2007) but to me it's the city most like Atlanta than any other place I've seen.

Is that the Atlanta skyline at 6:08?
quatlen 2 years ago
Well sort of, it's actually the Midtown skyline but within a mile of Downtown Atlanta to the south (left).
Freewayjim 2 years ago
That helps to prove your statement that Buckhead has its own distinct skyline. Good video as always
