actually u can change the name, at least i did on my mhfu although a had a friend who kept all her 2g armor and weapons and mine didnt which pissed me off.

go to gamefaqs and go to mhfu and click game saves, save one onto your psp enjoy!

i hope they let us do this on the new MH dat is for psp i mean we should be able to transfer our tigrex/narga armor and weapons dat would save me some time but it cool if they dont. btw u planning on gettin dat game when it out ?

If you have custom firmware, you might have trouble... Other than that, it is not too bad to start a new file in MHFU, my brother did and he likes it better than his old one.

i need help too! i tried to import my savedata from mhf2 but what comes out is the character i deleted a long time ago...the new one isn't there. it says no data except the one i deleted..?

XD I haven't seen that before...

Try backing up your save on your computer, then formatting your memory stick on your PSP, then putting your save back on the stick. Be careful, be sure to copy it on your comp first before formatting!

I was wondering if anyone could help me out with this...I'm trying to import my mhf2 character yet, when I try to import it, it says "Monster Hunter Freedom 2 game data not found etc".

Yet I'm sure the savings are on my memory stick, can anyone suggest a solution please?

My bet is that you have the UMD of MHFU and are trying to import your MHF2 file from your Custom Firmware PSP, with possible an MHF2 iso.

If that's the case, just try making them both MHFU and MHF2 isos and putting them on the same memory stick, then trying the import. If that doesn't work, I'd just Google the hell out of it... Hope that helps :p

Alright mate I figured it out,

had to upgrade to 5.00m33-6 firmware, install gamesave deemer and there ya go!

Both mhf2 and mhfu must belong to same region (EU / US) and have same file extension (.cso/ .iso)

I'm a big noob yet I still did manage to import my mhf2 saving to mhfu :D!

I'm sure anyone else can manage =] just give it a try!

Hi onimusha ^^ this is cause by ur version issue, either ur mhf2 is USA and ur mhfu is EUR or the other way round..... oh and ur version should upgrade to 5.02 as i know or u may try 5.00 m33-4 or m33-6 ^^

I dunno man, if you have Custom Firmware, try updating that, or if you have Official Firmware, try updating that as well. Hope you figure it out...
