  • Thank you for the video. This is Romford MRS LT layout "London Road". There are some items of Hornby that have been converted. Much of the underground stock is scratchbuilt from plastic amd wood with homemade resin castings etc. Most tube stock is made from Pirate etched brass and witemetal castings. Some unusual models there even for an Underground layout. At over 30 years old this is also one of the oldest working exhibition layouts in the UK.

  • I may have been misled about it being Hornby. My apologies.

  • What part is by Hornby?

I don't think they've ever made any Underground trains.

  • @PESTinUK You are correct. So far the only ones close to r-t-r have been the EFE models which can easily be converted to run.

  • @SDD3204 Thanks for the reply. My club's layout has a tube section and some of our members have EFE models which they have motorised. We exhibited it at the LT Depot Museum a few years ago. I've cobbled a few clips together on "The Tube on Tanglewood Common". (I tried to put a proper link to this video but couldn't get it to work)

  • @PESTinUK The link is here - thanks!
