  • WillBilly!! great name.

  • i didnt know will smith played guitar

  • damn, i got short fingers.

  • this dude is awesome and out going!

  • HaHAHAAHAHAAA!!!!

this has nothing to do with Blues my friend...

you are very very good in technik, but there is nooooo soul in it brother.

    sorry.

    just my 2 cents:-)))

  • @lespaulordeath Dude, the blues are the root of everything, and when you combine dorian and pentatonic it has EVERYTHING to do with the blues. It's just about the context in which you use it. This guy could blues your face off with blues licks.

  • @MrApocalyte Correct me if I'm wrong but that scale he is playing isn't dorian unless he puts chords behind it to make it dorian??? The way he is playing it it's just a major or could be minor scale. It's hard to say without something behind it to make such. The only reason he is calling it dorian is because he is starting from the second note of the f major scale which is g. aM i CORRECT THESE MODES CONFUSE ME.There seems to be 2 different schools of thought on them.

  • @simonize251 Well Dorian is the most "major sounding" (happy sounding) minor mode out of all the minor modes. You can use Dorian in lots of minor (and major) progressions, however there's one rule to remember when playing in a minor key: When playing what relates to ALL (the chords) If the II chord is minor, or the IV chord is major then you must use Dorian, rather than Aeolian.

But yeah you are correct, Dorian is the 2nd mode of the major scale, so G Dorian= F Major.

  • Willbilly Two Fist McGee. Lol wtf?

  • i bet the guys at nextlevelguitar have so much fun just playin' the guitar and drinkin' a beer together, im jealous :P

  • For bending everyone should inspire themselfs

the way David Gilmour does it !

  • Thank's for the great-tips. This if some real-good tips for all of us who love music. Looking to your next lesson's.

  • He looks DRUNK in the beggining but nice vid!!!

  • Good job, I like blues and I like heavy metal but death metal is that awful stuff from Sweden and the US too, but they were burning churches an killing each other. They gave metal a bad name right along with emo or whatever its called. I just thought I would share that with everyone anyway thats for the lesson I really need to get my licks smoothed out. I have been playing for almost ten years and still can't play a decent lick. Thanks again

  • @mettlebomb FAIL that's black metal LOL

  • Man you are one heavy dude. I like what you do a lot.

  • I'm liking the vintage sound

  • I want that sound,sounds awsome.

  • damn dude cool video

  • Killer video, vibrato is huge when playing licks that define your own style.

  • Good job. Thank you.

  • 2 fist is the man.

    warren haynes IS the man.

so what key is this in? lol what chords go well with this? not familiar with Dorian scale...

  • Goes well with power chords and blues shuffles since Dorian is sort of a mix between minor and major pentatonic but keep in mind that Dorian is minor.

  • 3:01-3:03 better then drugs lol

  • 2 fist is a fuckign beast!

  • really cool. Why does'nt evereybody wants to become a guitar hero? ;-)

  • 2 fists, where to?

  • I enjoyed this vid, entertaining, and educational.

  • what guitar is that?

  • PRS. Works good for annything really,

  • his slang sound normal.

  • im sorry but i usually have nice comment on these videos but i think that u shoud work on bending skills this lesson is nice but i dont know it seems like you play this like an amateur and i know this guy he plays metal very good maybe blues doesnt suit him.

he shoud do the metal stuff coz its great and marty shoud do the blues thing.

  • What happened to Marty? I miss Marty. This is good stuff but Marty played the most beautiful blues guitar.

  • Marty has his own page now guitarjamzdotcom (exact spelling)

  • marty is at guitarjamzdotcom

  • Dude stop trying to eat the screen haha

  • only David should teach :l i understand him more

  • coooool cat

  • kaliphona

  • ronaldinho

  • I like this guy haha. Great personality, and good lesson!

  • Great finger work! Looks like a lot of wear on the neck. Will you eventually have to get the neck replaced?

  • i'm pretty sure that's just dirt- really easily cleaned

  • People usually get the frets replaced(costs 300 bucks) but the neck is usually only replaced if it breaks...

  • that was a great lesson Will Billy :)

  • i want David back, i dont like this guy

  • dont diss hancock

  • i want to hear some songs of you man! this rocks!

  • Same Will Smith!

  • Will sporting a beard and you can play too lol. Love the dorian , my back bone buddy. Hi Dave!

  • I wish i could have more spare time to play my guitar. I saw numerous useful lessons on rockongoodpeople channel.

  • what that's guitar?

  • check the video

  • a Paul Reed Smith (PRS) Custom 24

  • 2 fists is the shit

  • Dude i wish we could hang out for a couple hrs. Burn a couple fattys and throw down.

  • lol, I don't think he swings that way

  • nice playin, dude, your face is priceless whilst playing. :D

  • Cool tips. If you're playing with other musicians and they ask what key you're playing in, do you say F or G?

  • G...thats why he says that this is a G dorian lick...

  • Awesome Lesson Will Billy!

  • Nice lesson man. Don't talk about the sun to much, it's cold here in Belgium.

  • is it just me or does this guy look like the black version of Tim lol

  • this is the easiest scale to solo with IMO it was the first one i learned..

  • Another *stellar* Will Billy...way to go on those blues licks buddy. Does this guy play in a band or what?

  • i live in canada, shit is cold here

  • Two Fist is talkin about Clapton and Haynes and those guys but he forgot the best of all.. Joe Bonamassa!!!

  • bonamassa is better than clapton ?? pff

  • Joe Bonamassa better than Clapton?........ give me a break!!

  • the guy is good but comparing the two is retarded i agree......joe has mad skills but he aint writin what clapton wrote.....clapton aint writing what jimi wrote...jimi aint writin what bob wrote.....comparing is so stupid...but only idiots do that...everybody is different

  • No arguement here, i totaly agree.

  • @00GenerationalMan00 It takes a comparison to come to the realization that everyone is different, you must have compared at some point

  • When it comes to the blues, I gotta give it to Clapton everytime. But it's all good to me. You gotta love it. Thanks Willbilly. Great lesson. Love the blues.

  • tis sweet!

  • reminds me of chickenfoot! LOVE IT!

  • It sounds like Chickenfoot because Satch plays the guitar in there and this is like he's main scale that he uses.

  • sweet lick

  • ROCK ON!
