  • Yes, i think that it's was in october 1966 with the french singer Johnny Hallyday...

  • r(-◎_◎-)--~ C0Ff*! ...ko0L imagery of the young stoned JIMI

  • The original ninja in Paris

  • wrong place-wrong people-his eyes are enough to make a stone cry...

  • some good stuff there smoking.

  • Happy birthday, Jimi.

  • Please everyone stop debating. It's Jimi Hendrix and his crew they are smoking week, you don't inhale cigs like that. Quit being stupid they're blazing and he's probably on acid too lol. And @ARONNE1994 you are dumb as hell because weeds been around for a long time and it was made illegal in 1937 around the same time prohibition ended so get it right

  • @Will9270 Those are ciggarettes dude? Who cares, believe me

weed was not the most important drug to hendrix. He needed other shit to keep him awake Lsd was good altenative after touring everyday takin speed 'bennies whatever' sleep pills at night. Hendrix had good weed but that was social for people' He couldnt get high on weed being productive, even good weed is nothing even when shit is hallucinating just mind fucked TV Oh boy! not really a pleasure high like eating good meal on amphetamine

  • Apparently this footage was shot in Nancy, not Paris.

  • @dummytree No Hendrix was in Nancy and Dolly Mae as well that night.

  • man look at those cool hand rapped... cigerates

  • Johnny Halliday, Jimi Hendrix, Chas Chandler, Noel Redding, Mitch Mitchell

Chas Chandler formerly of the The Animals & Jimi's producer is sitting between Johnny and Jimi.

    Great video cheers!!

  • I think that was Oct 18 1966, the day I was born!

  • Johnny Hallyday and the jimi hendrix

  • Ah, the young, wide-eyed, innocent 1966 Hendrix!

  • shit, i blow much better smoke rings than hendrix !

  • Thanks for sharing, this puts a big grin on my face :)

  • Oh no...that's the Zeppelin riff for "Whole Lotta Love" yet another busting of Jimmy Page. I've read so many articles where Page admits to stealing the lyrics from Muddy Waters, but always asserting the riff was his. Ha. When, lo and behold, it's Hendrix sped up. God those Brits were bad.

  • je pense qu'ils etaient défoncés...they were high

  • cry on cry

    on babe

  • @jimihendrixfan2008 Everybody smoked in those days. Especially musicians - they were chain smokers.

  • @ARONNE1994 lol

  • @ARONNE1994

you have never seen a joint ????

    dump question, sorry......

  • @KillTheSpammer therev smoking ciggs...

  • @ARONNE1994 weed wasnt invented until 1983

  • @iloveyormumaspie are u retarded?

  • Johnny Haliday made a cover of "Hey Joe".

Hendrix was invited because he was playing this song too.

    They recorded an acoustic version.

Never heard of that susprising version but thanks for posting.

  • i think the other guy smoking was a french pop star at the time called fabian,

very rare footage thanks for sharing

  • Two guitars...it's not the Experience OR BOG, that's for sure...at least not live. He didn't ever do a studio version that sounded like that (I've never heard it at least, is probably more accurate)

  • Can someon please tell me when he started using heroin?

  • @SillyMusic97 Well, his autopsy showed that he was not, nor ever had been addicted to heroin, so I assume that he didn't ever start, although there are conflicting stories and it's pretty hard to know the truth.

  • Wow. October 66. In England less than a month. Thanks for posting.

  • What a great smoking session

  • hes high as fuck

  • Isn't Jonny Halliday one of the French chaps?

  • @theonlyantony oui c est johnny halliday!!

  • @amelie100able Hourra! Merci bien! Grand petit film! J'aurais aimé avoir vu Jimi en concert à ce point!

  • What is the source of the music? It doesn't sound like Hendrix to me.

  • @GrumpSkull It's him.

  • @jimihendrixfan2008 lol no it's not.. why would you even say that

  • @jimihendrixfan2008 Think it's a collaboration between Hallyday and Hendrix, Not sure.

  • @jimihendrixfan2008 Doesn't sound like Hendrix to me either. Where can this track be found?

  • @jimihendrixfan2008 I really don't think so, unless someone took a recording of his and decided to shit on top of it.

  • @jimihendrixfan2008 THATS NOT HIM

  • @GrumpSkull I wish I knew dude.

  • Yeah, thats some random guys smoking.

    What's so special about it?

  • I think that is the best thing that Johnny Hallyday did, it's make famous Jimi.

  • les ronds de fumées ont été filmés à NANCY en SEPT 1966 dans un restaurant .vous pouvez voir cette scene dans extrait du film de claude goretta sur TSR

  • In France, we know this footage since 1993. (re)Broadcast for the Johnny Hallyday's 50th birthday. A friend of mine founded the document in Switzerland TV archives. For those who do not know (people outside France !), Johnny Hallyday still is our number one rock star for 50 years ! One hundred million albums, 40 Gold records, almost 30 million people saw him in live. Images are from the1st tour of the Experience, earliest footage. They're are not from Paris but probably from Nancy oct 14, 1966.

  • Et ce con de Jauni Halliday qui fait des ronds de fumée !!

  • OK...all except the music at the end-a 'cue in', no doubt.

  • Amazing.. I do believe that is Johnny Hallyday, the French superstar singer and Chas Chandler (Animals bassist and Hendrix mgr.) seated to Johnny's left. The track playing in background is Hendrix from early session, it seems. This is just too cool.

  • man i still cant blow no smoke rings -.-

  • Made me smile - EXCELLENT! Thanks :) :) :))

  • @5Cheery7 Glad to hear buddy :D

  • Cool.. although it looks like they couldn't communicate because of the language difference. Chas Chandler was sitting there too.

  • the original film would be nice to own...wonder where this came from or who. These should be in the Smithstonian

  • its not "rare" if its on UTUBE-

  • wow... I remember the Dead circuit. My friends hawked it. Sounds like my high school. I recall acid was legal until the mid 60s....so it would have been '66 ? Man what a great time NYC was then. My uncle is a few years older than I am ( 15 years) I was born in '66 but when acid was still legal. I could have tripped legally.. actually MDMA was legal when I was in High school, college but the age of consent for alcohol went from 18 to 19 to 21 inside of 2 years while I was a Freshman in college

  • @jimscape

    interesting!!

write more about this time in nyc :)

  • NICE RARE FOOTAGE OF THE GOD OF ELECTRIC GUITAR..

    WELL DONE DUDE!!

    R.I.P JAMES MARSHALL HENDRIX

  • That was their first paying gig in France before "Hey Joe" was released. This is weeks after Hendrix arrived in England.

  • JIMI'S WERE TOKE RINGS MAN ! HAHAHA ,WOWZA MAN !~ AL

  • hahah thats so sick, gotta love the watchin the guitar god smokin a little god's gift

  • 1966 was the best year of my life......... I wish everyone could say that.

  • @jimscape I was 15 and spent a hot summer in NYC but didn't see Hendrix. I heard he was in the Village playing on the street with the guy that played congas with him at Woodstock. What was cool about that year was that acid was not illegal until late October. The Dead were hawking it like candy in LA. Like it used to be at the old dead shows in the parking lot before Jerry passed.

  • @clarkewi Holy shit dude. That is BOSS.

  • @clarkewi HEY THE GUY WHO PLAYED BONGOS FOR JIMI AT WOODSTOCK IS JUMA SALTAN he was a buddy of my friend from way back in the day

  • @jimscape I wish I could. Too bad I was born in 87' haha...

  • @jimscape I guess You didn't get Drafted! :)

  • @jimscape I wish it was the best year of my life ,''It sucks cause i was born 66..I had a lot of fun in the 80s but it sucked having long ass hair and people saying long hair is out all the time..People were brain washed,' Then playing black sabbath and iron maiden songs at back yard parties people yelling play Huey Lewis! Or preppy dance music,''Nothing against Huey' i didn't like people who listened to him.!aH..The earth had to revolve around the sun 7 times before our kind was excepted again!

  • @jimscape I was born in 68 lol.

  • now i finally know how to make smoke rings :D

  • @srtafk Haha hell yeah.

  • He had a pretty smile ooooh

  • Jeonnie Haalleedaye not quite same talent level as Hendrix

  • @kingalow1 - he was great at blowing smoke rings though, wasn't he?

  • Very Very cool

  • jimi hendrix was chilling with all kind of dudes

  • Is musical talent an excuse for someone's wrongdoings?

What good this person has offered to society to be worshiped like that?

Except perhaps that he ruined so many youngsters lifes by making them drug addicts!

  • @yorgosioannima You truly have no clue what you're talking about. The world is not explicitly back or white, clearly broken up into one or the other. No, it is varying shades of gray. Please, use a more nuanced form of thinking before it's too late.

Or how about this, if you don't like Jimi get the fuck off this video.

  • @yorgosioannima you dont know much do you, i think that you just lackknowlidge, i think we all feel sorry for you

  • @yorgosioannima - I've never took drugs in my life - and I worship Jimi cause he was the best guitarist and always will be the best guitarist - you've either got it or you haven't - and Jimi had it big time and shared that talent with the World.

  • DAMN! Very coool find!!! how cool. 1966!!!!!!!!!

  • @JamieGarry Glad you like it dude!

  • Jonnie Holiday versus jimmy hendricks - smoke ring blowing competition ! wotever neckst ?!

  • How cute! They're gettin' all Chinese Eyes, LOL!

    ~Tammi~

  • @RockyWhyNot

    haha Cheech

  • @RockyWhyNot hahahaha i was thinking the same the whole video ...

    Green Powah!

  • thanks for sharing this with us!!

  • i wish i could live in that time

  • Thanks for posting this!

  • No problem :-)

  • Everything but that weak hey joe cover for the outro!! I really dislike it when people overeffect non-vintage style - like crisp chorus on that rythym... not really hendrix... his had messy nuances... jm2c

  • It was at the Olympia in France. Hendrix played before Johnny Halliday.

Some say he played so loud that Johnny's music was too low afterward ^^

  • Hallyday and Hendrix!! COOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • LOL the guy at the end who makes these smoke rings is actually Johnny Halliday... a french pop singer that still makes albums to this date... he's kind of the "french Elvis" in France... interesting...

  • Hey ChodeBronson, guess what?

This footage is worth more than you're life so stfu.

  • Fuck yeah. Great fucking footage man.

  • Hey thanks dude.

  • Thanks for posting this great footage! I guess not everyone appreciates Hendrix like we do. Their loss.

  • Sure thing. Yeah, it's a damn shame. Some people don't know what's good in life (like Jimi lol)

  • Alabama!?That explains it all!!!!90% are racists!!!

  • Sanguinius, his location has nothing to do with his response. I too live in Alabama but I love Hendrix. Also, most people I know here aren't racist. You generalizing like that is probably just as bad as racism if you ask me. There are good people and bad people no matter where you go. Smart and stupid people everywhere you go. Drugs, racism, and fuck ups no matter where you live. Don't be one of those people who say "The south is nothing but racist rednecks with low I.Q.'s." Makes you look bad.

  • Furthermore, as offensive as ChodeBronson's post is, he didn't say anything racist. Is he a racist? Who the hell knows. But to automatically accuse him of being a racist when he didn't say anything racist is silly. Hendrix was not a loser, that's for sure.

  • Sry,i didn't mean to insult someone,but i just really don't like racists,sry btw

  • It's alright. My thing is I see people on youtube or people on TV even say "The South is nothing but racist rednecks." And a lot of people think Alabama is full of dummies or something. I, someone who has moved a lot all over the country, knows these stereo types about the south are exaggerated. Some people fit the mold. Most don't. At least where I live and have lived in Southern states. I forgive you.

  • Jimi?

how can you call the greatest rock n roll guitarist who EVER lived a loser!

    jealous?

  • you are born from the rectum...& ur mama is a crack whore!!!

  • What's sad is that all of these people here are either dead or on social security. Life's cruelest joke is getting old.

  • good times!
