actually i think the only thing 1.1.4 does is it stops you from downloading customize and summer board from your installer, cause the latest customize and summer board only work with 1.1.3, so if you want to customize your battery icon or your backround with the icons then dont upgrade but im sure that there will be some new things in the installer pretty soon

Im gonna restore it to factory settings when it apple gets the third party apps out.

you won't break your ipod by jailbreaking it. it's prefectly safe. You can always restore it to its factory settings no matter what. Although, if you have just bought your ipod and still have a warranty on it and want to keep it, don't jailbreak it because it voids your warranty.

well..i had a jailbroken ipod..and i didnt like the jailbreaking so i upgraded it to firmware 1.1.4...and that fucked my ipod..and itunes didnt even recognize my ipod and t he music was messed up cuz every time i hit it...it would crash and go back to the home screen.. so i took it back to best buy..and they gave me a brand new one...so the basis is that if u restore it...the warranty isnt still voided..or best buy wasnt able to see lol..i lucked out
