reminder: you also need your elbows more tucked in to your face, leaving your elbows wide is making you vulnerable as well, I'm a muay thai fighter and all this stuff isn't correct, it's ok and close, but not correct
It's not about muscle but ones technique and if they can handle a fight and hit nice good shots. Anyone can knock a guy out with a good uppercut to the jaw. Just slosh the brain a little and they're out cold.
@ViolinSnowKid Yeah, In an actual fight, I woudn't think these "internet tough guys" would last long. I'm not saying I could kick anyone's ass in a fair fight, but I could beat the shit out of you. It's the simple measure of dirty tactics and KABAR fighting knives.
its good to see your doing the proper, more traditional stance, many western practicioners tend to force students into a stance similar to that of a boxer.. which is a bit sad really..
How many 7'2 guys have u even met, probably none or if u are the water boy to some NBA team. Anyway, u can kick the 7'2 guy in the balls. Also, Mike Tyson was only 5'10.
just because some one is skinny doesn't mean that you could beat them in a fight.
This guy is a trainned Martial Artist and i'm pritty sure he could handle himself in a fight
I mean just look at Bob Sapp the pathetic fat bastard the guy is huge and ripped to the max but he gets his ass handed to him every time whether it be a boxing, mma or kickboxing fight.
ok h0rangi, since you obvoiusley know more than this guy does about fighting and working out, why dont you make an instructional video on this exact same move, and we'll compare the two videos side by side.
one of the best vids i have seen to throwing elbows.......i can remember a golf lessen that you schould think a pole is driven throw your body........the line infront of the nose is great.......and hahahahah id like to see them say chicken legs afte eating a shin ^^....
how do you mean? by having his chicken legs used in the construction of the tracheostomy or by kicking me in the throat causing me to need a tracheostomy? you kidding? have you seen the guy trying to stretch? would never happen :)
u are supposed to snap the elbow not follow threw with the entire arm look at his hand it curves in some to HELP generate power as his BODY follows through if u put too much in the arm u wont hit with the elbow u hit with the forearm and if u miss u get a shin kick to the ribs or face so u should stop at the middle like he says or not i dont care anymore
Wrong!!! He is Generating To Both His Hands And His Elbows...Even if he puts too much into his arm(Wich is like Impposible) he wont Miss as He has locked in muscles in an aimin direction in a Straight Forward Manner..A SHin Kick Can Only Be Deadly if its 100% Potential Hit Towards the head..If not he Can still stand up and fight =D
wow... read mine again and see how im simply supporting this guys technique (its on the ok side for a free video) then go and learn some fight science and physics then go fight in a 10 round 5 min match and see how NOTHING is impossible then come bak and see how wrong U are
how am i wrong if ur supposed to snap the elbow and curve ur hand in to help it snap? and the only way u use ur hand to create force is if u do a chicken wing type move that will force u to put too much in ur arm put u off balance. and how will he NOT MISS A MOVING TARGET? and EVERY shin kick is 100% force to the head ribs or leg, or did u not know that? so your WRONG moron
Possible explination for the handcurve; Curving the hand during the elbow through tightens the outer forearm muscles creating a reflixive "snap" back to the standing form. Im not saying if u dont do this its impossible i just think its for a quicker recovery.
You clearly lack the ability to have any kind of real debate. You obviously like to get on the internet and take advantage of its anonymity so you can assert your pseudo-intelligence, but you lose yourself in your own arguments. All you have to do is read from your first post to see that. Give it up man. Just admit your words have no merit and that you're a self-important talking head. Your argument is inconsistent and unjustifiable.
I dont have the "ability of a real debate", thats why YOUR replies are full of personal attacks against the debater?
Everyone on the internet is anonymous. According to your point, all blogs should be supportive and nice, where everyone agrees to each other, because they should not take advantage of anonymity.
"Give it up man, Just admit your words have no merit you're a self-important talking head" - a desperate attempt to shoo away the difficult one?
yeah its bloodier than boxing cuts.. just imagine being hit hard without gloves, thats a really big problem during a fight especially for the "cut-man" on the corner...
Muay Thai is one of those martial arts I really hope I never have to fight outside of a spar. I've seen the numbers produced by a knee to the sternum, 'tis quite scary.
yeah his ribs are open for a crunchy counter. but i don't think his going to do this move if his in range for a kick. this technique is designed for a close range combat wherein you and your opponent's body are almost 1cm close to each other. only dumbass would use this move if his opponent can kick him off. this is useful when your fighting face to face with your opponent. elbows are also useful in full-mount positions in MMA.
it could also be used if your being mounted, you have to grab your opponents neck to have close distance to his face just like a standing thai-clinch.. if you fail to do that, it will really be useless..
Uhm, i'm gonna assume that was a joke, but not to sound mean, if first of all you are making contact with that opening in your elbow your not executing the strike properly and secondly, If you are worrying about smacking your funny bone muay thai might not be the best sport for you. just saying... but seriously, repetition of proper technique always leads to success so don't worry about it if you're taking kickboxing seriously :)!
