  • Nathan M5 at 7:25. Correct?

  • @MultiHornguy M3 with a clogged bell.

  • Was that the plows horn @ 0:49?

  • @trainmanauxl1 Its a Leslie A-200 single chime.

  • Now that's a party!!

  • Simply awesome! Love those rotaries! Boy, am I glad the WPRM has this one!

  • Awesome! I gotta go there in the winter.

  • Do you all have the Snow on the Run video that documents SP Rotary Snowplows and snowfighting on Donner Pass in 1951? That's an awesome video.

  • Very hard core

  • Toro snow blowers have posters of this unit taped to the ceiling above their beds.

  • this is such a wicked video! thanks for posting!

  • does this one still have the steam whistle on it like the ones UP has?

  • Yes it does. The steam generator needs to be requalified before it can be used however.

  • lol the guy @ 5:20 ran out of the way! XD I went to this museum, and it is very nice! I can't wait to go again. :)

  • LOL... yeah he didn't want to be embarrassed being the only human buried in an avalanche traveling at 8 mph blasting an air horn.

  • Awesome video MP!

  • Does the plow's b-unit have traction motors, or is it all used for the blades?

  • the plow has MU controls to run the whole consist, the B unit has all the electricity directed to the three or four traction motors that drive the rotary blade

  • So awesome. Thank you for sharing this wonderful footage. Had I been there, and it was allowed, I would have been down there with that guy having snow poured all over me. I can only imagine the sound of that incredible machine.

  • What power is used to turn the blades?

  • The black B unit behind the plow provides the electricity to power the drive motors of the blade.

  • Excellent job . . with operation and video ! Forwarding link.

  • The museum should be very proud of this. Not everyday you see a rotory in action anymore. Way to go WPRM!

  • Probably should also mention that this wonderful machine hasn't seen action in the last 37 years. It was last used by the Western Pacific to plow the Hi Line at Keddie in 1971 !!!!

  • Pretty Cool action there, nice job restoring and operating 208!

  • NUTHIN BUT NET!!! GREAT Job WPRM

  • Kool!
