  • quick question. Why would you want to have 90degree angles to the ball? just to pick your brain a bit...

personally i would always give angles infront of or behind the ball, but not square. passes in advance of the ball would help to penetrate quicker, and passes behind the ball to be to releive pressure.

  • @richyo88 it's more like passing in triangles around a player? this what barcelona do so well. It's not about passing in 90 degrees, it's about creating space for each other. If theres one cone space, it always has to be used otherwise the players wouldn't move.

  • good training. I play this with my mates, but we do it as a 2 touch game. One potential flaw I find is sometimes players will run behind the defender, so the player with possession only has one option, and in doing so makes it easier for the defender to make a tackle. (then the person with possession has to go in the middle) Watch out for people doing this in training and if they "run behind the defender" so to speak, you should make them go in the middle for bad positioning.

  • wow, really basic drill and bad players

  • Fantastic drill, thanks for posting!

  • probably the best game overall to play with the team. I am gonna put 1 co-coach in there with 3 players and break up into groups and play for 15-30 minutes.
