With that phrase she accepts it, and also accepts herself, after being über cynical, and forgives herself for being a b!tch with her family, specially her sister; and she stops blaming other people for her situation. "It's not so bad, being dead like me" is about accepting one's reality, and I had some trouble accepting mine.

This is one of the few new shows that I actually enjoyed on cable tv until they gave it the axe. It showed excellent writing ability for the storyline, creativity, imagination and humour. This was really good entertainment. Now all that I have is 100 channels of shit with boring and unimaginative reality shows.

I think it ended very well. I recently just found out about the show and watched all the eps within a day. I was sad to find out there were only two seasons and a horrible movie. I think they should bring back the show.

I do think the ending was good, though so I wasn't left too sad.

God how I miss this show. It was a MASTERPIECE--it made NO sense it only lasted 2 seasons. There's so much crap still left on tv , but they take off my FAVE of all time DLM ? Ridiculous.

Dead Like Me is/was an MGM production and originally on SHO. It was a Bryan Fuller masterpiece! His other show dealing with death is/was Pushing Daisies..ABC. Now..this makes two of THE BEST shows ever..discontinued by the networks!

Both shows are quirky..original..funny & intelligent. Well thought and produced until the powers that be made their decisions. Not the preferred crime or reality show..the masses who responded to Nielson TV ratings sealed both show's fate. A big dissapointment!

My fave episode was the one called "The Shallow End". The transexual guy who got killed by a stiletto shoe heel. It is the ONLY episode where God makes a personal appearance for someone. This was SUCH a wonderful show, I'm sad it went off the air..but at least I have the DVD's! :)

They canceled it because Mandy Patinkin (the guy that played Rube) left to go be on Criminal Minds. I think after that they didn't know where to take it from there because both him and Ellen Muth (George) held it together. Just my opinion since Criminal Minds started when Season 3 of Dead Like Me should've been starting up.

But at any rate it was still a great show.....own both seasons and will probably go out tomorrow to purchase the movie since I just found out about it.

This is the best show ever. I related to sooooo many episodes and so many of the questions that George ponders throughout the series I've been thinking as well. I really hope the movie answers a lot of the unanswered questions but I doubt it will. I want to know if in this scene Reggie saw George or George's alter ego, what Rube did when he was alive and how he got killed, why George can see the gravelings better than the other reapers, what happened to betty, where do the post its come from

I think Reggie saw George, it was 'The Day of the Dead' after all. An George can see the gravelings because she almost died (drowning) when she was young, and she was also meant to be a reaper. At least, that's how I interpreted that scene in one of the episodes.

I hope you bought them on dvd and didnt, ahem, download them. ;p The DVDs have some great audio commentaries and deleted scenes. Also, since you love DLM, you need to buy the show Wonderfalls. It is on DVD too. It was created by the same guy as DLM, but only ran for 1 season. The main character is a LOT like Georgia. It has the same great humour as DLM.

If you search for "wonderfalls" on YT, you should see an alternate version of the first episode that someone uploaded, BTW!
