i noticed something about the helicopter that picks up strider while he's on the cliff performing that clipping glitch:it uses the same spinning blades as those seen on sonic 3 and knuckles.
this was one of the more expensive megadrive/genesis games at the time touted as an 8megabit cartridge along with the equally buggy and annoying ghouls and ghosts.cheeky barstewards
The first Duke Nuken had a similar glitch like the first one showcased, where duke would fall and not die but smear the graphics and duplicate himself while the soundtrack looped.
Best version of Strider was for the Japanese PC Engine Duo. The soundtrack was rescored (for the better) and there was an additional level added. Anyway, it's one of my all time favorites!
Wow, thanks for posting! This game pushed the Genesis to the limits of its capabilities. I think all the crazy bugs were the result of that. Probably the greatest Genesis game.
Who are you to tell someone to speak a language they don't know? That's pretty damn rude and arrogant. If you *must* know what this person said--and it's obvious you DO because you're so passionate about the language barrier--it was basically:
"Incredible. I've had this game for so long, but I never would've thought to do something like this."
hey when i was fighting that zero g boss all of a sudden i went through the ground and died i think it was a glitch!

I've been playing Strider since 89' and for some strange reason the annoying glitches give it a retro-soul or something.

My closest friend owns that version and I absolutely LOVE the recorded music. It's a fantastic game that will never die.
