It would have been great if Tatjana Patitz had been there too, but she's admitted that she hated doing runway, and besides, she had a terrible walk, so clumsy and awkward. Not doing all teh important shows held her back from becoming as famous as the others too, altough I don't think she ever really cared for fame.

THere never has and will never be a model strut down the catwalk like miss Naomi Campbell! You done even notice the model in front of her or behind. That walk is like a lion stalking its prey. If I were a model in this day I would refuse to walk before or after Naomi in a runway show! Naomi has gotten a bad rap lately, but you cant deny the bitch can work a catwalk and sale a garment!

It sad to know that the idea of beauty during the "SuperModel" days was limited. One black women (Naomi) and the others were white. It sad to know that Asian, Latin, and Indian were never considered beautiful.

Many models were referred to as Supermodels during this time, but in the fashion industry Naomi, Christie, Linda, Cindy and Claudia were the originals.

Although Kate Moss is a Supermodel she was hailed as the 'anti-supermodel' due to her height and waif appearance, her and the other five Supermodels were collectively known as the 'Big Six' within the industry in the early 90s and dominated the fashion scene (kate still managing to do so to this day).

I will concure with brazilianaffair and aquamarineeyes, Linda and Christy r the best of friends; but Naomi and Cindy is included in that friendship as well. The trinity never did shows shows without each other and that is Naomi, Christy and Linda...Cindy, Claudia, Stephanie, Tatiana, Elle, and Daniela were also apart of this Supermodel friendship! And Tatiana was off doing another show this year, sometimes that is the breaks as a model, you want to do one show but you have another show booked.

This Catwalk was based on the song 'Freedom' by George Michael. These 4 ladies were featured in the video, the 5th featured and missing model on the catwalk is Tatjana Patitz.

I remember when I was a child the three most reknown model in france were Naomie,Claudia and Cyndi!

By the end of 1990, of the 5 original supermodels created by George Michael's "Freedom 90" (which is the song playing as the four strut down the catwalk), Tatjana was the first to slow down a bit. She cut her hair off & didn't do any shows that season. Notice that even though Tatjana wasn't there, Versace did NOT put Claudia or anyone else with the top four. That space would be reserved for Tatjana had she been there. He loved her a lot & she did the Versace AIDS/LA show for him 2 weeks later.

actually George Michael didn't "create" any supermodel whatsoever...Linda, Cindy, Tatjana, Naomi & Christy in january 1990 were part of the most famous Vogue cover to this date, done by great photographer Peter Lindbergh, who was (after Versace, of corse) the one to help out the begnning of the supermodel era of the 90's, you can look for the picture on the web...George Michael just asked the same top models who appeared on that photo shoot to appear also on his video, and they all agreed
