@EdgunUSA Hey ED, you´re awesome, very nice stuff you have here. I had to subscribe. I wanna ask you something. Can you give me your complete setup? Where can i buy a setup like yours? Thanks again!
@PapaleguasTX Thanks, Papaleguas. If you do a Youtube search for "Pigeon Shooting 130 Yards", the top hit will be a video of mine. In that video, you will find ALL details of my shooting setup. Ted.
@lilcorey310 The camera mount will fit almost any quality scope. Whether or not that works out for deer hunting will be another matter. The gun recoil may prevent the camera from capturing the shot. Also, when I deer hunt, I frequently have to take a shot at a moving deer - much more difficult though a camera. But, yes, in principle, it should work.
i have the same setup as you but have a different camera but i am strugaling to get the crosshairs striaght on my camera can you please give me advice.
after you set the frame rate. do you use any editing software before you post your videos?? cuz i have a camera with a 60fps setting... put that is used to just let more light in, right??
@Allen7944 I never close an eye - always both open. This is true whether I shoot using the camera or without. Most shooters leave both eyes open. You shoot with one eye and track your target with the (non-scope) other eye. Also, for me, closing an eye is straining - I do not like the feeling. If you watch the "Mac1 Hunter" video, you can see that when I shoot I leave both eyes open. ted.
@busdriver824 It can "see" them fine at 950. So, I'd guess it could also capture them at 1000 or higher. Gun recoil is the bigger issue. If the gun kicks hard, then by the time the recoil has finished, the pellet may already have struck the target. My gun kicks very little - so it is steady after the pellet travels only 20 or so yards.
@MrAvocado99 This is the only air rifle I own. Occasionally, I have the pleasure of playing with other models (like the FX Royale). I'm sorry if you are bored of the Edgun. ;) I would very much like to have more variety, but the checkbook says "no". ted.
@EdgunUSA im not bored i think you have the best hunting videos on youtube. i was just seeing if you could make a video of hunting with a diffrent gun or a review, thats all.
@MrAvocado99 :) Thanks, MrAvacado! I will say that I plan to take the AoA rifles on hunts this summer. It was more difficult for the Royale because that was in January. I've been delayed with the Air Wolf because it was damaged by delivery. When I get it straitened out, I'll definitely take that thing out for a little vermin control. :) ted.
hi i just bought a Casio EX FC150 on ebay what card do you use in your camera,i heard somewhere on the web when i was looking around and the guy said that you need a card that is able to read the slow-motion video,im not sure what he said but apparently a standard SD card is too slow and isn't able to read the input fast enough,so if you can advise on what card i should get i would appreciate it,your vids are great
@yammo12 Hmm. I don't know much about that. The 16gb Transcend (blue color) SD card that I had in my last camera worked just fine in the Casio. I think as long as you aren't using a really old SD card, you should be in good shape. I'd think that anything 4gb or better would be "safe". One thing I can tell you is that HD video uses up a lot more card space than high-speed video. So, I would beg to differ re: the comment that the slow-motion video requires a faster card that regular....ted
@spdphotog That looks like it may be a bit higher quality than the Seben. Thanks for the tip. I've added you post to the comment field of the video. ted.
hi dear i am going to buy casio EX FC150 for the cool viedos but tell me where u get that adjestment tool with the wever rail ?? can u help me with that
It looks like with that bullpup design, it would actually be more comfortable to keep the scope in the forward configuration all the time. With normal rifles (non-bullpup) the rear of the scope is usually right around where the rear grip is. That usually allows for proper cheek weld.
I don't have much experience with scoped bullpup guns, though. So it could be different.
@paigow66 Another good question! I've created an annotation link in the first 30 seconds of the video to take you to your answer. :) Thanks for the questions - they help me make my videos better.
@KiwiShoot Hey, thanks! I dremmeled the PVC a small bit to make it "hug" the scope. I also did this to the aluminum mount (on the bottom piece that touches the scope. On the dremmeled aluminum surface, I put a piece of electrical tape to prevent scratching the scope. These two modifications reduce pivot and sliding significantly.
@EdgunUSA ta I'll give it a try, my Seben mount twists a little in my videos. It'll also help reduce the parallax error and the scope cross hairs moving.
@whopperhead I'm still limping along with Ulead (I guess it's Corel now) Video Studio. One of these days, I'll dive into Adobe....but not yet, my friend.....not yet...
nice video again bud, i was lucky i sent direct to ed so got the whole matador in one go, of my 12 airguns its my favourite by far. anyways keep up the good work..del
@krysks04 The original stock on my gun was not the standard stock for Edgun. The U.S. distributor decided to only import the action, and he found his own source of stocks. These stocks were not up to the quality standards of "normal" Edgun stocks, so Ed (the manufacturer) agreed to send me this new stock. It took some time to get here (from Russia), but I finally have it, and I am very pleased with its quality.
@dreamhobbies That one was at 240fps. You couldn't see the pellet until it was at 50-60 yards. When conditions are brighter, the picture improves substantially. Tomorrow it will be sunny with a light wind... :)
