  • These sound nice - those 4 awful Taylor Trebles ruined it!!

Although 16cwt is maybe a little light for a 12 in my opinion... the tenor needs to weigh a ton or more. Although Bitterne Park is an exception.. they sound good, judging by the vids!!

  • @simonbellringer Erm yes - bells 8, 9 and 12 sound awful on their own though

  • @KDowner94 Well 8's the old belll!!

And the tenor is yet ANOTHER Taylor cock up here!! What was going on there?

  • @KDowner94 Well at Rodbourne Cheney Swindon, all the bells (bar the 1931 Taylor treble) sound horrible on their own - particularly the 1675 Edward Neale 4 - that guy couldnt have cast a decent sounding bell to save his life!! Yet they blend together to make a nice 6...

  • @simonbellringer 5 taylor trebles!

  • @bellminsterboy Treble of the 8 seems fine - I meant the 1-4!!!

  • @simonbellringer All 12 sound crap

  • @KDowner94 The back 8 seem OK, but they should get Whitechapel (who tend to be excellent with little rings!!) or Taylors (who cast Banbury's 17cwt beauties!!) to recast the lot into a new, fabulous 16cwt 12.
