@Kyledmw Heals were a waste to use downranks on. Just lifebloom for a cheap heal. You want to use downranking on things like entangling roots. That reduced mana costs from like 300 to about 50 and let you spam the shit out of it.

It's been so long since I last played wow that I absolutely guarantee you those identifiers are not correct, but it LOOKED something like that. I bet if you ask in trade chat or on the wow forums you'll get an answer on how to do it very quick.

People don't really understand the mechanics of hunters, it actually does require allot of work. Yes it is much harder than, spamming hamstring, raping ass as a rogue, dotting like a warlock, etc.

You are right though, they weren't very good.

This match basically shows a faceroll comp (rogue druid) with some of the best gear available vs a comp that was more difficult to play (hunter druid), that didn't even come close to matching them with gear.

They didn't deserve to be that close to 1800, but they were very well geared and it made for a very entertaining match.

Dreamspirit, i'm atm on a 2.4.3 pvp server. I was wondering if sacrifcing swiftmend for becoming a restokin would be considered as a viable 2v2 team.

Also would a hunter be good for 2v2 with a druid as a beast master, with bestial wrath?or just stick to a marksman hunter.

I'm not dreamspirit, but in those days a resto druid with a beast mastery hunter was a fail comp. Marks + druid heals was very good.

You can play either with swiftmend or restokin, whichever fits your playstyle best. They're both very good.

Back in those days against hunter/druid both of you just sit on the hunter. He didn't have the new disengage back then, so go bear form and you and the rogue just sit on him, you would have eaten the traps and he couldn't do anything, much less get a fear off. The only thing I see happening is hibernate, but that is the same as eating a trap, I miss tbc hibernate lol

I found Druid / Hunter to be a far more difficult matchup. Partly because we rarely ever came against them, while Druid / Rogue we came up against every round.

Hunter's always put a viper sting up on you every time they got LOS, which burned mana far more than a few lifeblooms (poison remove wasn't guaranteed, not to mention it cost mana too, and bear form cost enough mana for 2-3 ticks). I could chill in bear form, but if he got LOS he could try to fear me, and when I popped out viper sting.

around 4:00 you had to die.. that druid should help rogue nuking you and cyclone you at low hp fully HOTed.. that druid didn't help rogue nuking at all ! and that's why they lost match.. btw ur hunter should pay attention more when you're at low hp so he use scatter shot/ freezing trap.

Yeah, Mannoroth is in the Ruin battlegroup, which has a lot of old servers with established guilds. You'd be surprised how often we saw rogues with both of them.

WoTLK PvP sucks dick, I was a Gladiator S3 and S4. Now I did one season got Gladiator, I quit. It's a fucking joke now. The PvP is so bursty it take's no skill, noobs can get fucking 2ks. Teh ratings are elevated so high, raiding is fucking easier than it was before. They made it for the casuals, fucking casuals stick to RS or some other shit. Imo they should have a battlegroup for Pre BC 1-70 and one for 1-60. So much old content is gone now, good content. Fuck you blizzard, you broke WoW...

If you think Druid Hunter was a scrub set up, you obviously don't know what you're talking about. Sure it wasn't nearly as easy as Druid Warrior / Lock / Rogue.. But it was a great combo that was fun to learn. Read up megatf's guide on arenajunkies to get a feel for what its potential was.

Indeed I did. As I said in the beginning, we both made mistakes hehe. The rogue AND druid outgeared us both by a good margin, while Larney and I were still working our way up. I had about 400 res, and he had about 300 at the time of recording.
