with this dude, and sims in the backfield, with miller to compliment them. KU has a stacked backfield that can and will run havoc on the defenses of the BIG 12
brandon improved tremendously his senior year. but i just gotta remind him that i out rushed him when we played his junior year. haha. we averaged right about the same yards per game that year too. just giving you shit brandon. good luck at KU next year. would love to go watch you play.
Brandon Bourbon is going to be amazing at KU. Look at his breakaway speed and his size. We know he runs a 4.4 but he has a lot of agility from the look of his tape.
this is a video of his junior year, I think there is room for improvement and no reason not to throw this kid a scholarship. Im suprised we didnt see any highlights of punt or kick off return.
Brandon is a STUD! I'm tired of there always being a MILLION excuses for EVERY White HB and why can't play HB (they almost always are switched to FB, TE or LB) at college or pro's. This has been going on for over 30 years now and it's ridiculous... NO MORE!
doesnt matter he's a beast and Kansas is lucky they got him. Kid is 6'2, 205 pounds, runs a 4.48 40, Bench Max: 310
Squat Max:465, theirs a reason Notre Dame, Stanford, BYU, and some other schools wanted him. Of course USC would of probably wanted him as a FB or Linebacker.
I came over to this vid to check this kid out. And the number one thing i noticed(RIGHT AWAY). Look at his cuts! too slow, shitty competition. Look here Moreno, for the broncos Rb ran a 4.62. At the combine, yet, got pick in the 1st round. Why? agility! The kid doesn't have that. You can run a 4.3 and still be a shitty running back. His straight line speed is good., yes. But look when, he goes to make a cut, how much he slows down. Look at 5.02. doesn't look natural.
Its not a race thing, remember brandon jacobs. They wanted him to play Lb too. There is another kid(black) 6'4 , 200 something rb, 4 star recruit. that looks quicker than , this guy and they want to change his position too. I hope this kid does well though.
"the second coming of Toby Gerhart"......let's get real Vansboi. There's a ton of high school backs who have amazing highlight videos and it doesn't mean jack-squat. He might be best suited as a safety or a special teamer when it's all said and done.
KC Rockhurst, Jeff City Jays, Webb City, Valle of St. Gen, Hazlewood schools and Blue Springs schools have consistently amazing talent and turn it into relentless team efforts.
When I went to Potosi High School back in late 80's it was 4a. There was only 1-5a then. As such, it was a tremendous leap in overall talent from any class to 5a. Message received and understood pertinent to class 5 and especially 6 defense. All things considered, I humbly believe that Bourbon is a Top 10 MO running back
don't get me wrong bbrandon do go hard but you cant say he's the best in missouri and that no one can compete with him because him and g'darius stevenson go toe to toe every time we play them and we just beat them to put them out of the playoffs...im not downing him it's just that it's plenty of people who an compete with him
You'd be wrong. He's a good football player with some nice stats but he's also playing against a lot weaker competition than the big boys in Missouri. There's running backs in several of the larger schools doing what he does vs. a lot tougher defenses. The Pierson kid out of STL is one that comes to mind.
i grew up with many of his cousins, aunts and best friends with his uncle. what is really amazing to me is that i have never known any on his moms side that were even close to being athletic nor did they care to be. and when i say "known any" i mean to tell you that he has a ton of relatives i knew and hung out with in south Missouri
i will point out that even if brandon does not adjust well at any level after high school as a running back, he is talented, intelligent and athletic enough to play strong safety, middle linebacker or outside linebacker at any level.
ummm... jeff city is a 6A school lol. hes playing very significant defenses. and its my opinion. opinions can neither be false nor true. just an opinion. so ill respect urs if u respect mine.
I was talking about Bourbon. He plays for Potosi not Jefferson City. However, Kody Walker isn't rated as the top back in the state. Anthony Pierson out of St. Louis and Darrian Miller from Blue Springs are currently rated higher.
you guys beat us in the playoffs last year ... that was like a record scoring game for a playoff their was over 100 points scored you guys were good and yea bourbon is averaging 33 yards a carry this year !
brandon just played my team tonight and we lost 36-6...dude is cold he jumped clean over my freind lamonte nelson's head...twice...and their quarterback pretty good to he was barley throwing the football and throwing 3/4 the way of the feild with ease...patosi is good....(by the way my high school is called new madrid county central eagles
bourbon plays against the high school i go to and the kid is a beast he squats like 465 and that will increase cause he is in the weightroom all the time he is going to do good at stanford and the high school i go to is the school on this video with turf field and gree/white uniforms but we still beat them by like 21
Harbaugh will be at Michigain by this time next year. Can you blame him? Its his alma mater and will pay him more than Stanford would ever be able to. This will mean Stanford will go back to having mediocre coaches an this will send Stanford back to being the doormat of the PAC-1.
BYU produced the Doak Walker award winner in '01, and Brandon looks just like him. The program has a bright future and BB could be a big part of the success. Best of luck to you.
Bourbon will be BYU's All-Time leading rusher by the time his career is over. This kid would get to run loose with how deep the secondary and linebackers will be playing. BYU-Nation needs Bourbon
Malosi Te'o is a great back with power and moves, but doesn't seem to have the top speed of BB/Staley. I love Te'o and am excited to see him play this year.
I smell a yewt troll, but I will appease you anyways. So you are saying that Brandon Bourbon, even though he is stronger and faster and a better blocker will not start? I am so glad you are not a BYU coach.
Malosi has the abilty to make cuts at full speed ask guys like LaDainian Tomlinson Deangelo Williams and Curtis Martin what is the #1 ingredient in having a good runningback is they'll tell you being able to make cuts without slowing down. Something that you see in this video he can't do.
And I would bet you anything Malosi has a MUCH MUCH MUCH MUCH stronger lower body then this dude too.
Savage. He should go to Stanford if he can get a free ride. Get a good education plus They play a more pro-style offense compared to Mizzou or kansas.
He's a running back man. Playing in a pro style offense isn't gonna make a damn bit of difference. He'll still be doing the same thing. You mentioned Peterson. He's an OU guy. OU runs the spread. Jamal Charles, who looks like he just took away Larry Johnson's job with the Chiefs. Spread. Mizzou just had 6 guys drafted, 3 signed to FA deals, and one invited to try out for Tampa. So, that's 10 out of 10 draft eligible players going to the NFL. Stanford can't touch that.
5:50...good play but you still lost that game haha, i kicked the game winning extra point. your pretty good though man. i never heard of you or anything but you for sure have some amazing talent. best of luck to you wherever you go.
Nice reel! Would be a real shame if this cat didn't get an offer from Mizzou. He needs to be in Columbia wearing black and gold and representing his home state.
oh u might wanna go back to our game and check it out.... remember when u said nice tackle joe? it was when they moved me to ur right side cause gifford couldnt tackle u.... it was the only time u got tackled on the first hit alll year. lol.
He'd be a fool to go there. Reesing is gone after this season with nobody respectable to replace him. Their offensive line recruits aren't anything to be impressed by either. If he doesn't end up in Columbia he'd be wise to either go to Stanford or Iowa. Ball State has been doing some real good recruiting the last couple of years too so going there might not be a bad choice either.
bourbon's a hoss... no matter where he goes he'll own. he's got plenty of ability to be d1. have u even seen him play corey2mules? maybe u should change ur name to imajackass.
???? Are u kidding me? If you are 6'2-6'1and run a 4.4 in the 40 than how are you a d2 back? Adrian Peterson ran a 4.4 before college and after. This boy should be on the top of everyone's scouting board. You must be high or watching a different vid. than I did.
Anyway, as I was sayin' Stanford's program is nowhere near that level. They're tackling dummies for USC. MU had more players drafted or signed to free agent deals after a single season than Stanford and Kansas have combined in probably the last five. Mostly low rated two star kids too that Pinkel and Co. taught how to be good football players and raise their game. That's exactly what the kid needs. He's got the speed and the athleticism. Just needs to be know how to get the most out of it.
You obviously didn't catch the final score (45-23). Obviously he didn't run too wild on them or they wouldn't have gotten their doors blown off like they did. BTW, Gerhart ran for 101 yards. A decent day at the office but not anything extraordinary for a decent running back. Washington from Mizzou had better numbers for both season and individual game and he was running on a torn up knee the last half of the season.
He's not the only one on the team. Dummies is a plural word. Last I checked anyway. Like I said, the scoreboard speaks for itself. The sad thing is, if you actually watched that game, USC actually had a horrible first half and still creamed Stanford. If you wanna talk impressive then check out what the running back from USC did to Stanford. Rushed for over 240 yards. Now that's something worth making a highlight reel of. What isn't impressive is finishing in 8th place like Stanford.
true but USCs defense did not have an easy day although their offense did. they are a good team, maybe the best, and theirr defense was tested. you were making fun of a very solid team.
Not really. A team with a 5-7 record aint that solid. Neither is getting your butt kicked by a 4-8 UCLA squad. Their defense wasn't tested. They were sleeping. What happened when they woke up? The second half started and they shut Stanford down just like almost every other school in the Pac 10 did all year long. The reality is that Stanford is an academic school. Once in a blue moon they have a decent season. Stanford is not known for putting kids in the NFL. That's just a fact.
@Thrillcekr Stanford has 14 players in the NFL right now, compared to 11 for Missouri, and I beg to differ, considering the highest paid safety in the NFL is a stanford grad. Try again.
@rc49ers53 Wrong. Check your list against the actual team rosters. The names aren't on there. Some of the ones from Missouri are missing as well. He also did not attend Stanford. Troy Polamalu is behind him. He went to USC. Get your facts straight.
Hes 6'1 210 pounds so hes got great size. He has ran consistently in the 4.4s so hes fast and looks very strong. Whoever gets him should have a good back.
