You obviously know nothing about what Edwin McCain is about and have not heard him sing this song live. I don't care what you say, you can never take away the truth of a song from the songwriter and the song will always have the most meaning when the songwriter sings it, no matter his technical ability (of which Edwin McCain has plenty).

well said. Edwin mccain sings i´ll be as good as it´ll ever be possible to sing it. no one comes even close, and the feeling he put into the song when he sings it. It´s amazing. And yeah his voice is great and his technical ability is also amazing. He has so much control of his voice. I would love to see him live sometime.
