And instead of always refering to full gain as your only option, try setting it at a really crunchy level but not metal crunchy and turn up the master volume on your amp - youll get a much crunchier, yet more appealing tone from your amp (this may not apply to those amps designed for metal playing such as randall)
@GuitarNinjahhh Several months ago I got a mesa boogie half stack but recording with a cheap sony camera still stucks. recently I figured out how to record with my Boss GT-10 directly to garage band - so I am getting there.
ONLY ONE HOUR A DAY......... WTF that is incredible but if you never skack off like i do its quite believable.... Just some good critisism for better sound... Im doing a sound production course and i think you need more bass, a little less treble and quite a lot of mid...
AMP SETINGS
(4/10) A little reverb goes a long way for guitar playing - too much can distort guitar solos And it will make you sound shitty even if you are the best guitarist in the world.
@GuitarNinjahhh I have been working on better guitar tone and better recording techniques. Yeah I practice one hour a day - it is not how long you practice but what and how you practice. people who practice four hours a day - that becomes the goal putting the four hours in - and when they do it makes them feel better - instead of focusing on getting better - that can be achieved through consistent focused practice every day of an hour.
It'd be interesting/cool to see you do a cover of "Voice of the Soul" by the band Death. Superb job on this, keep up the shredding, and making of original tunes. You're definitely going to be a player to follow, will be interesting to see where you end up down the road. =]
Wow, thats speechless - you are very talented :) keep up the good work, and one question - what gear do you use, never seen that guitar before. thanks in advance :) god still cant believe your doing this, simply amazed! i love how people like you are so into this job and doing the imposible - simply outstanding! :)
@johntg123 I have been playing drums for forty years, and have to say, you burn most of the guitarists I play with today to the ground. I played with Craig Wells of "Metal Church" back in Aberdeen, WA. in the years just before he got into the business, and you could easily stand next to him, and I regard him highly. I still talk with him on Facebook. Keep it up girl, your way is wide open. Just stay away from Freebird. It's already been done to death. You go. :thumb:
wait you've been playing for 7 almost 8 years and you're this good?! Girl you are a prodigy and a guitar goddess. When you get signed with a major band you have to tell us viewers which band it is. I know for a fact I'm going to buy all the cd's just to hear you play.
@JuggaloSpector Thank you. I have some real sick stuff I am working on. I just need a solid drummer and a bass player that can slap - a Chris Burton-Flea-Victor Wooten kind of bassist.
@johntg123 I think Dominic 'Forest' Lapointe from Beyond Creation type of bassist would be a great choice as well, he could keep with you in terms of technicality and speed, probably versatility as well. ;]
@chevy66driver I learned it forward then took the tab and tabbed it out backwards then played it - it did not take that long since - same skill level - it took the brain awhile to separate the two...but that was it
haha yup... keen to start a band? :)....damn thats right I live in NZ.... Nice work, you are definetly going to go somewhere with your music!!! haha yes!!!! finally someone who likes the same music as me, keep it up!!!!
great technique ! work on your legato id say ..slow it right down ..sometimes its easier to improvise to fast stuff, slow it down and let a slow groove guide you
ignore all the fools coming on to you... you dont need to show too much skin
if i were you id send some vids to orianti .. she has a youtube page and is a briliant guitarist
@DeSchmitt1987 Not anymore but I am looking for a killer rock band where everyone is way off the chain and the bassist has to be able to play slap bass
@MynZnusz Thank you. Yeah I got bored with Eruption so I decided to learn it backwards. Good thing I did - while I was at NAMM last year I played Eruption at the EVH 5150 booth on the second floor. The audience was pretty jazzed then I played it backwards and their jaws collectively dropped! lol
@HeyMcFlyProductions I get what your saying. I believe he shows a lot of restraint - you have to remember the time of Van Halen and when they blew up - everyone wanted to hear EVH play the guitar and would have been disappointed if he showed restraint.
