This movie was the best movie i have seen in a really long time. jay Chou was ALOT beter then i thought and Gong Li and Chow Yun Fat as well. Best cast ever.

Its funny how in the end pretty much every one dies apart from Gong Li (the queen) and Chow Yun Fat(the king)

ending of the movie was that the king was gonna make jay drink the medicine so hed be messed up but he didnt want to so he first said sorry to his mom and then he killed hiimself ... the medicine was poisened in the end

thats not what happened. the king was going to spare jay chou, but only if he gave his mother the poisoned medicine everyday from now on. jay chou fought so his mother wouldn't have to drink it. then jay chou didn't want to put his mother through that so he killed himself after he said sorry to his mother.
