Yes, Aaliyah did a great job @ remaking this song. I do not have a problem with today's music artist remaking songs of the past. What I do HATE is those who remake the song does not give proper credit to the original artist of the song. I am not implying that Aaliyah did such a thing. But most of these artist of today's music business are so anxious to make a quick buck that they fail to appreciate those who came before them and made it possible for them to get into the business themselves.
I have always loved the Isley Brothers...grew up listening to them. But I didn't realize that this was originally their song. I heard Aaliyah's version and fell in love with it. Yes, Aaliyah did a great job @ remaking this song. I do not have a problem with today's music artist remaking songs of the past. What I do HATE is those who remake the song does not give proper credit to the original artist of the song. I am not implying that Aaliyah did such a thing. But most of these artist of today's music business are so anxious to make a quick buck that they fail to appreciate those who came before them and made it possible for them to get into the business themselves.

I have always loved the Isley Brothers...grew up listening to them. But I didn't realize that this was originally their song. I heard Aaliyah's version and fell in love with it. So glad she did it otherwise I may never have heard it. I think it's great when artists appreciate those that came before them. It allows younger generations to get to know real music.
