It's weird...I would watch this when I was younger and it never effected me. Like, I knew the story so I understood what was happening, but my child mind knew this was a cartoon and no one was really getting hurt, so I never felt anything for these people o.o Now, I understand that this did happen, and but because I'm older I can get over it :P

i think that she is an awesome character, they all are. but the mom is truly amazing. it's not easy to just put your baby in the river and hope it goes to a safe place. :) but, she (in the real story) ends up caring for moses as his nurse/nanny.

I only just realized this how the mother must have felt when this happened. All the sudden without warning they're coming to kill your child and you don't know what to do. And you risk everything to try to kill your child. It must have been so hard for her to let go of that basket.

This movie was always such a big part of my childhood, & i always loved this lullaby. I'm 18 & haven't seen the full movie in years, but i can still sing the full lullaby and i've actually sung it to some little toddlers i babysit sometimes <3
I haven't watched this movie since I was really little and this song has always stayed with me. I maybe Christian but I love this movie and am pround to see that a mother would be willing to risk her life to save her infant son. I know my mother would do the same for me and my siblings. What makes me really sad is some mothers don't care what will happen to their children and this song gives me some hope that it will change.
Now only if every mom had that prerogative to protect their child then maybe kids wouldn't get kidnapped right in front of them. -.- I love this part. 2:20 - 2:40 the whole song is amazing, but just want the mom said touches probably everyone's heart. she has a LOT of faith.
The music is so powerful in this movie, I've always loved it.

@TheDavidirector To be honest in my own opinion all religions are sexist, condescending and contradictory but i do understand why some believe... they fear having no purpose and they fear death... i do too hope for something, just not what you would call "right"... i think what you like most is what you should believe :) i like quiet... i hope the place i go is nice and calm :)

I only just realized this how the mother must have felt when this happened. All the sudden without warning they're coming to kill your child and you don't know what to do. And you risk everything to try to kill your child. It must have been so hard for her to let go of that basket.

This movie was always such a big part of my childhood, & i always loved this lullaby. I'm 18 & haven't seen the full movie in years, but i can still sing the full lullaby and i've actually sung it to some little toddlers i babysit sometimes <3

I haven't watched this movie since I was really little and this song has always stayed with me. I maybe Christian but I love this movie and am pround to see that a mother would be willing to risk her life to save her infant son. I know my mother would do the same for me and my siblings. What makes me really sad is some mothers don't care what will happen to their children and this song gives me some hope that it will change.
