  • God if u ever truly know him is not what yal would ever come to know unless u got out of the hypocracy of a church and actually seek him

  • Agreed atheist but religion and God are two separate deals ones does involve brainwash and ignorance the other who I serve is merciful and does allow freedom it is the church the government and other human organizations that corrupt and manipulate the free will of man

  • Atheists believe that there is no proof or evidence for the existence of gods, and they see no need for, or use for, gods.

“The first requisite for the happiness of the people is the abolition of religion.”

“Skepticism is the highest of duties; blind faith the one unpardonable sin.”

“What can be asserted without proof can be dismissed without proof.”

“We who are atheists are also a-fairyists, a-teapotists, and a-unicornists, but we don't have to bother saying so.”

    “All religion is slavery.”

  • Ofra Haza's voice is so moving. RIP.

  • This song makes me cry..

  • Moses's at 5:45

    "How yu doin?"

  • She asked the river to carry the baby gently... and it did THAT!?!? See?! This is why nature is evil!!!!

  • @krazydelaney

I know. that scene with the crocodiles scarred my eight-year-old self.

  • @lilliodhe5enraptured XD btw I was being sarcastic about the evil nature thing...

  • @krazydelaney

I know that lol. Still, I thought the comment was funny and replied with the relevent truth. :)

  • watching this movie in school this is my fav song out of the ones we got to

  • @peaceloveemma2018 Why did you watch this movie in school?

  • @FirstRival24 we were learning about it in s.s so my teacher wanted us to watch it so we could understand it more

  • @peaceloveemma2018 Ok, cool. Better than watching Gone With The Wind. I felt positively murderous after being subjected to that. Ugh. Too long, too boring, and too awful.

  • Seti and Rameses disliked this.

  • i did :(

  • One of my favorite movies!

  • Those are pretty much the best top comments I've ever seen

  • I was raised Jewish, I observed Passover every year, but I think I learned more about the Exodus from this movie than the actual holiday lol.

  • Sooo.... anyone else cry on the baby part?

  • This is the movie that my grandfather brought as a present for my 3d bithday !!! No that he's gone everytime that I listen to this music I brake in tears !!!!!!!!!!!

  • @mixalis1453

This song has always made me tear up, even when I was six years old and couldn't understand half of what was going on...

  • @Nibblesfan cuz God already had a plan for him

  • @CallOfDuty9449 True......

  • Everyone's wondering how Moses wasn't killed by the crocs or hippos or boats...I'm wondering how that basket didn't fill with water and drown him

  • @nibblesfan It's entirely possible to weave a basket that's totally waterproof. Or, she could have just painted the inside of it with tar. Either works

  • This movie touches my heart every time. Every story in the Bible does.

  • @TheTruna even the ones of despicable murders and rape and war?

  • @rabidfangirl90 I didnt mean every every story i meant the more powerful ones like Joseph and Jesus bringing a man back from the dead...

  • @TheTruna I found the story about Moses and his men capturing and raping children to be rather powerful. Disgusting and wretched, but powerful.

  • @TheTruna Really pulled a 'foot-in-mouth' there.

  • @FirstRival24 Okay! I get it I messed up leave me alone!!!!!!!

  • @TheTruna Roll with the punches, or people will knock you down in the world.

  • @FirstRival24 In case you didnt here me before LEAVE ME ALONE!!! ALL OF YOU!!!! I GET IT I MESSED UP BUT YOU DONT HAVE TO BE UNGODLY ABOUT

  • @TheTruna First off: your spelling abilities are wanting. Second, don't even get me started about "ungodly". I can philosophize you under the table with your own logic. Just slip away quietly and stop screaming like a cantankerous child. You lost, get over it.

  • @FirstRival24 First thing of all its God not god duh. and i didnt lose cuz you know what i went to your channel and you only have 2 videos and 1 subscriber and not a lot of views. On the other hand I have a lot of videos and more views than you also I have more subscribers. This conversation is over. If you send me another comment or anything I WILL do something about it.

  • @TheTruna Sweetie, fucks are not given. I don't capitalize god because it's a fictitious idea not worthy of the attention of capitalization. And it's pretty sad that you measure your worth based on your Youtube channel. By the way, I looked at yours, and the quality of all your videos are lacking, but that doesn't mean dick all. Do take care.

  • @FirstRival24 So your an athiest but your watching videos about the story of God? Makes no sense at all. Too bad God deserves better than that.

  • @TheTruna Yes I am an atheist, and I am watching videos of a religious nature. Are you saying I have to be religious to objectively enjoy a good story, regardless of its veracity? It makes a lot of sense. What about reading any sort of fantasy novel such as Harry Potter? You can't enjoy it because you don't believe in magic? By your logic, that would be the case. It's such a shame you're closed-minded and combative, wouldn't god deserve better than that?

  • @FirstRival24

I think it's good that you watch religious movies no matter what practice/ anti-practice you are. It can be both mind-opening and just fun for all people. Years down the road you may view this as something different or as just the same movie. Either way, have a nice day. :)

  • @lilliodhe5enraptured THANK YOU, that was very kind. If only Ms. "TheTruna" would come to the same realization... One doesn't need to necessarily believe in something to enjoy stories related to it.

  • Why do they live out in the middle of the desert with very low form of resources?

  • good grief, was this recorded with a ham sandwich?

  • this movie is so amazing and tells such a powerful story I LOVE IT!!!!

  • @crystalheart203 you know there are alot more in most religious books....especially the Bible

  • Moses easily avoids death from Crocks and Hippos fighting, being beaten by ship Ore's and is safely at the palace.....

  • @msmissjordan1 shaken baby syndrome had not been invented yet

  • This song still gives me chills

  • It's weird...I would watch this when I was younger and it never effected me. Like, I knew the story so I understood what was happening, but my child mind knew this was a cartoon and no one was really getting hurt, so I never felt anything for these people o.o Now, I understand that this did happen, and but because I'm older I can get over it :P

Weird. To me at least. Lol.

  • SO GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD.

  • 90s movies are the best. Period. End of Story. Good-bye.

    Sincerely,

    -The Truth-

  • I always picture a bunch of pizzas yelling "deliver us!!"

  • @KChenowethVideos

Well fuck, now that's stuck in my head

  • @KChenowethVideos *chokes on drink* Great! I think that's what I'm going to end up picturing from now on...How you even associate pizzas with this astounds me...but the mental image is just way too funny...

    :-)

On another note, I love this song!

  • Chuck Norris wove that basket....Nah, Chuck Norris doesn't weave baskets....

  • Is the woman singing in english the same one that sings this song in hebrew?

  • @Adirondaque yup~ And several other vers as well I think about 17 or 18 in all~ 8D

  • @Adirondaque Yes it's an Israeli singer, i think

  • Moses' mother became his nanny.

  • @TheDavidirector Everyone has the right to believe what they want, but no offense, how can you prove that something that does not exist....does not exist? It is just as possible that there is 20 Gods, not just 1, the only reason you believe that there is only one god, is because monotheistic religions dominate the world today. It simply can't be Im sorry....

  • Is she saying in Hebrew, " My sweet and gentle son, do not be scared or frightened"? Want to see if my classes are paying off. :)

  • @harrypotteranddobby That would be correct.

  • @harrypotteranddobby The Hebrew part is..... My good and tender son. Don't be frightened and don't be scared

My son, I have nothing I can give

But this chance that you may live

    I pray we'll meet again

    If He will deliver us

:D I hope that helps.... XD

  • I know this story has connections with the bible, but is it known if there is any actual truth to the sending off of Moses and him being saved by Egyptian royalty? Just wondering (x

  • @FreeGirlForLife The Prince of Egypt is loyal to the true story. (: To answer your question: Yes, Moses' mother hides him when the Pharaoh orders all Hebrew babies to be killed, and is found and adopted by the Egyptian royal family.

For more information, just go to Wikipedia and type 'Moses'!

  • @tamiiland

Or she could read the actual bible. It's pretty fascinating stuff.

  • @Tiili97 Well, yes, that too! (:

  • @FreeGirlForLife It is highly disputed whether Moses even EXISTED. And many historians agree that Ramses II was dead before the events of the Exodus, so no... there is no actual evidence that he was sent off and saved by Egyptian royalty, its possible, but as far as evidence there is no solid evidence.

  • I love this movie it is so powerful!

  • no water got in cause the inside was lined with tar.

  • how did water not get in there or the top not fall off. love this song and the movie its really great

  • I came for the childhood memories this brings back; I stay because of the terrible grammar in the battle of comments. Entertaining and yet disgusting to watch...

  • THE COMMENTS IVE READ THUS FAR R SOO FUKING IGGNORANT, THIS MOVIES IS ABOUT THE PAIN THAT AN ENTIRE RACE OF PEOPLE WENT THRU AND HOW THE GOD OG THE HEBREWS FREED THEM

  • amazing :)

  • oh god her voice...is just too amazing :'D

  • Comment removed

  • the lyrics isn't adonai it's "God on high"

  • LOL @ 6:25-25...the Queen demands attention and respect from her servants! Just like how she looks at them and they bow their heads!

  • @jpfshowtime Nah, she just want to know if her bitches are cool with bringing a new pimp to the castle!

  • @toni4938 it goes "Elohim Adonai"

Adonai is the name for god in hebrew. its redundant saying god god

  • Watching this 15 minutes before Christmas day :)

  • Killing all their new borns for some reason. It was just another thing torture thing.

The song she sings to her baby makes me cry each time :(

  • @girl112791

    I BAWL AT THAT PART!

  • Whoever that female vocalist is, I love her note at 2:38!!

  • @thebestusernameeva It's Ofra Haza for english version

  • I don't get the beginning. Why were they killing babies? Did God tell the Emperor to do so, or something?

  • @kittysqueezer In the book of Exodus, in Old Testament of the Bible, it says that the Pharaoh feared the Israelites would start a war because the number of them were increasing, so he had the newborn boys killed, but let the newborn girls live.

  • @kittysqueezer The Emperor thouhgt that the Jews were to many, he didn't want to exterminated all his slaves, just wanted to control number. It's in Bible, it's also a historical fact. May say: in this time it was "common" proceeding :(

  • FUCK RAMSES DAMN HI WHY WAS HE FUCKING CUREL FUCK YOU

  • @ChrisCarney123 According to the Bible, God hardened his heart to make him that way. So it's basically God's fault.

  • Hey Krillesten, sorry to sound like I'm nerdraging or trolling, but don't they say "Elohim, God up high"? Or is it just my imagination? :S

  • @SebbeB89 "Elohim, God on High"

  • @SebbeB89 no they said "Elohim,God on high."idk why they said it that way but they said it that way

  • @toni4938 it kind of translates itself

    Elohim = God on high

  • This is awesome! Thank You!!!

  • I cry everytime I see Joseph let go of his mothers finger :(

  • @TheTruna

Moses* :)) It's the prophet Moses.

  • @LuvDatLaDiDa Yeah I know I had a blonde moment :/ sorry

  • @TheTruna Lolz, no problem dear. ^.^

  • @TheTruna you mean moses?

  • Comment removed

  • @MsFamousFuture Dreamworks made this movie, not Disney. Don't worry, common misconception, I thought Disney made it too :P

  • Does the first few notes of the opening (I think it's the trumpet) always remind anyone else of The Godfather? Maybe it's just me.

  • The mom was so stupid to put the baby in the water. CRAZZZZZY

    P.S. LOVE this movie :):)

  • They don't make baskets like this anymore

  • @DahOneEnigma

Lol Yup'iks of Alaska do they're some hardcore people!

  • @DahOneEnigma lol yeah usually they don't come with babies...what am i going to eat now?

  • best song in the movie! love classic disney!

  • @daniel92139 Dreamworks =P

  • @athiest382 Shut. Up. And. Go. Away. Can't you hear it? The delicious noise of NO ONE CARING.

  • i think that she is an awesome character, they all are. but the mom is truly amazing. it's not easy to just put your baby in the river and hope it goes to a safe place. :) but, she (in the real story) ends up caring for moses as his nurse/nanny.

  • moses is the deepest sleeper ever

  • @fishluvrfejes if I could sleep like that, I'd be either dead or on sleeping pills

  • I loved this movie when I was little and still do my mom told me when I was little and I would see the basket in the river where it was being rocked all over by the alligators and ships and everything i would ask DOESNT THAT HURT THE BABY?

  • @idinakristinwicked

Or at least make him very seasick? :P

  • my class watched this movie to help us understand some of the life in egypt and how hard it was and i cant help but cry when i see the hebrews get treated so badly

  • @TheDavidirector To be honest in my own opinion all religions are sexist, condescending and contradictory but i do understand why some believe... they fear having no purpose and they fear death... i do too hope for something, just not what you would call "right"... i think what you like most is what you should believe :) i like quiet... i hope the place i go is nice and calm :)

  • @atheist382 Dude, one atheist to another: chill. You're being needlessly belligerent to people who aren't engaging with you. Calm your shit. You make us look bad.

  • @FirstRival24 thank you. there is no need to for @atheist382 to go off like that. i am also an atheist and i think that no agreeing with religous people is not a reason to pick fights. that is the cause of every religous war there has ever been and its unnessesary.

  • @MicMic18 And to think, they rarely show it in any of the movies I've seen, she had to let go of him twice. Jochobed raised Moses as well, probably until he was five and had to return him to live as an Egyptian prince. That would not be easy! (Ex. 2:5-10)

  • At the end, after she belts "Deliver us", it sounds like the chorus says, "NO"

  • oh, God. Loooooooooooooooove those voices, EPIC!

  • I only just realized this how the mother must have felt when this happened. All the sudden without warning they're coming to kill your child and you don't know what to do. And you risk everything to try to kill your child. It must have been so hard for her to let go of that basket.

  • Always with the Jews! Egypt. France. Germany. Iraq.

  • @VTwinty You forgot the Romans too.

  • @megadeedee Yeah, But I,m not talking about the roman's, I,m talking about the Egyptians in this movie.

  • @VTwinty Thank you, for pointing out to me that this movie had Egyptians in it. I might have missed that, what with the movie being called "Prince of Egypt" and all. and of course you were talking about the Egyptians only that why you also brought up France, Germany, and Iraq. You might have also wanted to add Spain to that list.

  • @megadeedee Your comment is making no sense, you are just changing the subject and and skipping to other conclusions to avoid the point. I just point out what is exactly in the movie and you start putting in stuff that is not even about the movie, as you start jumping to other things that have nothing to do with the movie since they are not there. I point out exactly whats going on in the movie because it is there in the movie.

  • this movie made me jewish

  • This movie was always such a big part of my childhood, & i always loved this lullaby. I'm 18 & haven't seen the full movie in years, but i can still sing the full lullaby and i've actually sung it to some little toddlers i babysit sometimes <3

  • I haven't watched this movie since I was really little and this song has always stayed with me. I maybe Christian but I love this movie and am pround to see that a mother would be willing to risk her life to save her infant son. I know my mother would do the same for me and my siblings. What makes me really sad is some mothers don't care what will happen to their children and this song gives me some hope that it will change.

  • Now only if every mom had that prerogative to protect their child then maybe kids wouldn't get kidnapped right in front of them. -.- I love this part. 2:20 - 2:40 the whole song is amazing, but just want the mom said touches probably everyone's heart. she has a LOT of faith.

  • The music is so powerful in this movie, I've always loved it.

And to all those negative comments, stop trying to shove your views down other people's throats. Just because you do/don't believe in religion doesn't mean everyone els e has to.

  • That song always makes me cry::(

  • @werewolfgirl1able I always end up crying when Moses is separated from his mother. :(

  • like if this made you wonder were the rest of the movie is

  • My first impression of the queen is that she have a really long neck

  • @atheist382 Haha, no one cares. The comments on this video are about and for the movie. So bye.

  • @atheist382 Aaah I remember this stage in my life

  • Comment removed

  • this movie rocks i just love the music.

  • i love this song...i always sang it

  • Yeah right like Disney would have the balls to make something like this. Incredible movie.

  • This is such an amazing movie!

  • skip to 3:20 for the actually song :)

  • After I saw this Movie, Dreamworks just became badass in my eyes.

  • This is one of my very favorite movies. The music has always taken my breath away.

  • This song has a way of bringing up emotions in u

  • @Bladestar7 Hell Yeah, powerful lyrics too.

  • Okay, I'm an atheist but this movie is amazing.

  • @SlymeGreen Same! My parents force me to go to a Catholic school and they made us watch this. I expected to hate it but it's officially my favorite movie!

  • @SlymeGreen Im not a Christian but I know that there are records of this happening too...I just hope they weren't exaggerated because it is such an amazing story<3

  • @SlymeGreen SAME HERE! :D

  • @SlymeGreen Come back to Christianity!

  • @intellegence63smart HAIL SATAN

  • @SlymeGreen THE POWER OF THE CROSS BESEECH YOU!

  • @intellegence63smart -EATS A BABY-

  • @SlymeGreen atheist or christain both know it was a fact that moses and ramesis were historical figures, who actually lived. making it even more awesome

  • @SlymeGreen its a story just like spider-man

  • @SlymeGreen Yea same here!:)

  • @SlymeGreen Excellent! Despite your own religions beliefs, you can still enjoy a legendary depiction of the story of Moses! You don't know how long I've been barking up that tree as an agnostic myself.

    Have a cookie.

  • ok ok, who here has cried or came close to crying when Moses' mother song the last lullaby? :'3 I know I did. What an amazing movie!
