I just saw a video on a new iphone and Android app that will send text alerts to parents if teen drivers exceed a speed limit, goes outside of a pre-set geographic boundary, or is texting while driving. Its called SIPS, and it was featured on CNN. I think it will provide parents with an additionaly supervisory tool, and help teens to make better decisions if they know if they "push the limits" they will need to answer to mom and dad!

I'm Pushing 30 So In No Way Defending Any Teen Cohort Of Mine, But Why Is This Texting & Driving Stuff Being Pushed On The Teens So Much? Adults Are Just As Guilty...Who Cares If The Teens Are An At Risk Group, Does It Really Matter? Why Deal With The Teens, This Is An EVERYONE Of Age To Drive Issue.

Teens do text and drive, but the worst offenders I see where I live are moms ... probably age 24 to 35.

I think there needs to be much stiffer regulatons on cell phone use, includling texting, while driving. I see it on the roads on a daily basis, and sadly it isn't just teens.
