  • *goosebumps*

  • How the fuck haven't i watched this yet

  • Arcade Fire in the sunlight singing wake up!! ♥♥♥

+ Richard reed parry is so handsome theres nothing more i could ask from this song

  • @lockitkitten I couldn't agree more.

  • I think they are the BEST band in the world now. They're original in sound, songs and style. They're all so powerful, believe in their music and indeed it comes straight from the heart! And SUCH great musicians! It's unbelievable. I love the version of this song with David Bowie. That was such a great combination. Wish they would make an album with Bowie.

  • @BoysKeepSwingin2 top 3 bands in the world :

    3. The Mars Volta

    2. Broken Social Scene

    1. Arcade fire

  • @BoysKeepSwingin2 I agree with EVERYTHING you said!

  • love the emotion. adds another element to the live performance

  • their good but annoying at the same time.

  • that one guy actually pulls off a "rock-stance" with an accordian...aka..squeezebox! lol

  • simply put...these guys are the modern day Smiths/Cure. They are awesome!

  • 1:46 Coordination fail

  • Uhhh... You know when you shake a tambourine it makes a sound to right? : ]Call me crazy but I think that he was shaking it in front of the mic while hitting the drum.... : ]

  • I love this powerfull glamorous music...again and again.

It comes from their souls, It wakes me up!

Love to all Arcade Fire fans over here!

  • WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE

  • Owen Pallett's playing the violin!! What a suprise!

  • This sounds more sweet...

    Arcade Fire is just truth.

  • I love the curly ginger man in this one. best song of this century, methinks

  • this is great but the glastonbury 2007 version is by far the best recording of this song live

  • indeed.

but still like this version, love this gig.

  • lol, Richard has to sramble over to the accordion when they switch beat around 4:10. HE moves it really fast too! :D GOOD JOB!

  • @tangobuddie Yeah, that's how it used to be. Tim and Richard would switch spots on stage. Richard always had to hurry because he was also changing instruments. He only had a few seconds to trade spots with Tim, put the accordion on and start playing it. Since Tim wasn't changing instruments, he didn't have to hurry. I'm sure Tim and Richard had to practice that part a lot. Today, Tim is next to Regine and Richard is next to Sarah for the whole song, they don't switch spots anymore.

  • That was a great song.

  • it gave me chills at the beginning

  • HOLY..i jsut notice at 1:40 in. the guy throws his drum stick...then catches it and keeps going..i guess not overly cool but i thouhg i t was badass...

  • Go to one of their shows clemsondux and you'll see Will toss a drum way in air and catch it. Oh ya, doesn't bad ass beat overly cool?:) Right up there with Radiohead as the best gig i've been to. Check my Arcade fire videos..if only I knew how to post them better because my originals are much better

  • lol. He did it about four times before 1:40. 1:40 is also the worst shot of it ;)

  • A-W-E-S-O-M-E

  • number of instruments or musicians has nothing to do with musical quality or passion. Remember Frank Zappa and The Mothers or Sly and Family Stone to name just a couple of superb multi-instrumental bands.

  • uau

  • Wow....this song is incredible...and very simple....ha, the end kind of sounds like the Decemberists....

  • wow! i wish i was there...

  • 1.this song rules

    2.i like the red-haired guy's playing

    3. i wish i had a hat like the male violinist

  • heh. Win breaks his guitar strings and ravages Tim with his tambourine.

  • Yeah, he was improvising. Quick thinking, I might add! He always hits his guitar with a tambourine at the end of the song, but since he couldn't use his guitar, he improvised and used Tim's. Sometimes when he can't get to the tambourine in time, he just claps his hands.

  • this is by far one of the greatest songs ever written..i consider win butler alongside lennon , wilson ,yorke and daniel johnston

  • in all fairness, yorke isnt the only one responsible for their great songs, it's a group effort. as is the arcade fire.

  • its "arcade fire" no "the". and while i agree that thom isnt the only one who makes the magic happen for Radioehad, i think you're just a little teensy weensy anti-radioehad..i mean lennon wasn't the only one responsible either...

i also disagree with the first saying this is the best song ever written..its good, in my opinion great t but still. and win butler can be thrown onto the pile of "not the only contributors"

  • lol, me anti-radiohead. untrue, im a huge fan, they're the only band i can really say that i like (in that i like 99% of their stuff and i did huge project on Paranoid Android in senior year for music). im simply aknowledging that it's a band and not just thom yorke. ie, selway tore apart PA into what we hear, greenwood wrote the strings for climbing up the walls (he wanted to write a song wiht strings that didnt sound like elenor rigby). Radiohead = a BAND , not Thom Yorke

  • To be honest when I first saw them perform on tv, I thought they were called Arcade of Fire. No wonder I trouble finding them on the internet. Hahaha.

  • brilliant! simply brilliant
