@BNSF36542 Well, in the sense of music, synthesizers are very sophisticated electronic keyboards. They can create just about any sound you could imagine, instruments and otherwise. I think what the folks who make the music for Barney do is use them in place of live musicians who would play guitar, bass, drums and other instruments. If you do a Google search on synthesizers you could find out a lot more.

It's kind of funny, if you think about it. Barney and the kids meet a mermaid in this video. And this was released in 1989. That was the same year The Little Mermaid came out. XD I geuss '89 was the year for mermaids. Just Imagine if they hired Jodi Benson (The lady who voiced Ariel) to be the mermaid. But then again, It would make either one of tem seem like total rip offs.

Still, that would be cool.

BTW, Didn't Sandy Duncan play the Mermaid in this?
