Ok..... Maybe I'm just imaging things, but Ryu's father has the first name of the main protagonist in the most popular Shinobi games. He even wears white! Then there is the bad guy who is fighting Joe (Hayabusa). He has a helmet that looks all too similar to Oboro Clan Hotsuma (Shinobi) and Hibana (Nightshade) from the PS2 Shinobi games. Hell, he even wields a cursed sword just like Hotsuma did. Coincidence?
