Thank God for Netflix or I would've never found out about this little, hidden gem, what an amazing, smart, funny and entertaining show all around, I can't find one flaw in the whole series. The acting was great! Enjoyed every second of it...and FX couldn't of done a more shittier job at promoting, the name probably didn't help but only if people knew about this... It would've been great if another station saw it's brilliance and potential and picked it up but who knows, maybe there's still hope?

Turns out this show ISN'T a sitcom about dogs. It's actually a really good crime comedy/drama. I can't imagine why anyone would bury a show under so much bad advertising that nobody who would be interested in it would ever even consider watching it. Even on most poorly advertised shows you get a vague idea of the style of the show, or at least the genre. Not here. The real shame is that this show is canceled while the marketing genius who came up with "let's videotape some dogs" still has a job.

Donal Louge's gotta come back to FX. Rockmond Dunbar's alright with his role in Sons of Anarchy, but since most of the characters are getting killed off this season, maybe they'll consider reviving the series for a spring timeslot? I tried watching Lights Out, but it was boring as hell, and since Justified's the only other good drama I've seen since Damages was relocated to another channel there's not much else besides that and Archer.
FX didn't screw up shit. The fact of the matter is this: Not a lot of people watched the show, and since it was really high-quality programming, it cost them MONEY! It fucking sucks that they had to cut it, but that's just the way it goes. At least there's still Justified, It's Always Sunny, Louie, Sons of Anarchy, and Archer.
Great show! To bad FX screwed up and cancelled it. I guess they didn't take into account that Dish wasn't showing Fox networks because of a contract dispute during half the season thus lower viewers.

Was the show really canceled? This was one of the best shows in decades. And, yeah, the theme song was THE most perfect theme song for the show's vibe. Why do we have to endure Brothers and Sisters for what seems like 100+ seasons, but we can't keep a good gum-shoe series like this one?

@RunaroundStar I know in the last couple of months a couple of shows have been uncancelled. e.g. Break In, Arrested development. TERRIERS is a great show but sadly has a very small fan base. The best we can hope for is a special edition DVD release.

It's rare that I make Youtube comments...but I couldn't resist; I have to sing the praises of Terriers. This is the most emotionally engaging show I've watched in a long time. The characters feel real, the plot is well-layered with some of the best writing on television this season, it's shot beautifully, and hell, even the theme song is addictive. This is one of the very few hours I give a damn about on TV.

The lyric sure sounds like "in a Javelin, man" rather than "and a javelin man." AMC made a "pony car" called the Javelin from 1968 to 1974 which seems like a great fit for the atmosphere of the show.
The show is called "Terriers" because terriers are dogs that like to dig. The name itself comes from terra meaning earth or dirt. So since they are small time detectives who did talk about having a mascot, then a terrier would be perfect, because they are digging up dirt on people and such. Love this show!
the song is great, and the show is even better. so well written. It is kinda retro, 70's style detective show with modern sensibilities. I truly hope it gets pick up for more seasons
Love the theme song. I keep playing it in my head at work. This show is seriously great. I wasn't so sure anything good would come out of the fall premiers, but this one is a new favorite. The chemistry between the two main characters is so great.

@Darkpercy99 Really? I loved it. Especially since I knew it was probably the end of the show too. They could have picked either choice and made it work but, if you knew their character, you knew the only choice for Britt was to do his time and start over with Katie.

I LOVE this show. It's like a fine wine, I can't believe how it has just gotten better. Amazing. BIG mistake if they pull this one. But they do do a lot of stupid shit. I actually like the name Terriers, they're fearless. But the advertisement in general has been really horrible. Might be a good idea to take a great show like this and put it on after another good show. You put it on after a movie? Really. That's got to be Michael Raymond James singing the song @ opening credits.

@RunaroundStar I know in the last couple of months a couple of shows have been uncancelled. e.g. Break In, Arrested development. TERRIERS is a great show but sadly has a very small fan base. The best we can hope for is a special edition DVD release.

It's rare that I make Youtube comments...but I couldn't resist; I have to sing the praises of Terriers. This is the most emotionally engaging show I've watched in a long time. The characters feel real, the plot is well-layered with some of the best writing on television this season, it's shot beautifully, and hell, even the theme song is addictive. This is one of the very few hours I give a damn about on TV.
FX...don't let Hank and Britt go just yet! Please give Terriers a second season!

LOVE this show!!! I catch in on Hulu and it's one of the few that I watch as soon as it hits my queue!!! It really does get better and better each week and I am not one to usually watch a lot of TV (which is why I canceled my provider and only watch internet tv). Spread the word about this show!

The lyric sure sounds like "in a Javelin, man" rather than "and a javelin man." AMC made a "pony car" called the Javelin from 1968 to 1974 which seems like a great fit for the atmosphere of the show.

The show is called "Terriers" because terriers are dogs that like to dig. The name itself comes from terra meaning earth or dirt. So since they are small time detectives who did talk about having a mascot, then a terrier would be perfect, because they are digging up dirt on people and such. Love this show!

Love the theme song. I keep playing it in my head at work. This show is seriously great. I wasn't so sure anything good would come out of the fall premiers, but this one is a new favorite. The chemistry between the two main characters is so great.
