  • Excelente selection! i didnt known Kroda, what a discovery , cheers =)

  • Passing Of The Grey Company sounds different o.o I like... but Im all ..??

  • You have to consider: It's not the Summoning (Original) Version. It's a cover.

  • @ObscuritasEtSuperbia Ohh. By who?

  • @ObscuritasEtSuperbia Nvm I need to pay more attention to detail ;)

  • I am curious as to why anyone would find "talent" in a "vocalist" (yes, I definitely put "vocalist" and "talent" in parenthesis for a reason...) who is simply screeching and growling to the backdrop of a band who can simply play Drop-D chords with a percussionist who can hammer monotonous beats.....??????

  • i kind of agree with you only because most black metal bands do exactly what you said they do, but the pure idea and vision of black metal is great and when its a good band then its flawless. the idea is to create a melancholic disturbed melody and play it viciously.

  • its not a talent search. if you notice not many people are looking for that nowadays just a sound they like. even in the mainstream they aren't so talented just make simple music. if they wanted said talent they would listen to like malmsteen or prog or something else, so its not so much about talent. you try screeching like that see if it dosent fuck up your vocal chords.

  • haha drop-d X]

  • @XschindlerX

    "Drop-d"

Who does this? I use it for celtic playing, but in black metal? Most are using chord melody ala jazz.

The talent (and I would argue, the only talent of note in music) is in the songcraft and creation of emotion.

As for screams, I can't even do them, yet I can sing. There is no valid critique here anyway, as difficulty is irrelevant.

*I'm* curious as to why someone would come here in willful ignorance to write passive aggressive BS about this music...??????

  • Great selection. Especially Nargaroth and Kroda, they are among the very best. But you should also check out Draugnim for some killer folk inspired black metal, and Sombres Forets and Negura Bunget, two brilliant atmospheric black metal bands

  • If you find them great i tmeans that you could easily be a fan of folk metal :P

  • Nargaroth rule... The greatest.. Great video!! Thanks....

  • Nazgul is one of my favourite bands.I'm so waiting their new album. All the underground Folk, Viking and Black is good. Satyricon's older stuff is really ingenius. Depressive Suicidal Black Metal is a total masterpiece too. Nargaroth is just undescribable and...damn, I'm gonna make a suicide xD. But why is the best music in the world so underground? And don't forget Burzum. You may not like the music of Burzum but the lyrics just make you cry.

  • you do a little mistakes in Amesoeurs * you wrote amesouers :P

  • Eluveitie is a nice band :)
