It wouldn't hurt to learn how to have sex in ways that do not transmit disease....ANY disease... That's what Gay and bisexual White men have done, for the most part. That's why their infection numbers have dropped.... not because of "programs". INDIVIDUALS figured out how to save themselves from the epidemic. Plus, lot of older white Gays withdrew from the Gay world, at the start of the epidemic, and have lived lonely lives. But they are disease free. Choices....
Get tested and then what? Where is the incentive to get people tested?! The society doesn't like hiv poz people, why would anyone want to know if they are one? what a weak message.
Trust no one, use condoms. You can still love other people, Love, trust, sex, rarely come in the same package.... get real , unless you got raped or poked by a needle there is no one to blame except yourself
thank you for posting this broadcast i didn't catch it when it aired and am extremely thankful for the opportunity to view it now. wow this story was so eye opening (at least for me). i didnt realize how prevalent hiv/aids still is in america. i naively believed it was a disease declining across the board. i routinely get tested for stds even though im in a monogomous relationship but i believe im long overdue for an aids test, get tested people!
he's right "ignorance is no longer an excuse" the majority of black culture in my generation is based on sexism and homophobia still...

it afects minorities disproportionally because poverty is disproportionally high for this group

Everyone has known for 20+ years how AIDS is spread-There is no call or excuse for blaming other people or the government.
