I implore everybody to stop buying Cybergun/SoftAir products from sporting goods stores. They are trying to monopolize and ruin our favorite sport by snatching up copyrights to gun designs, and using that to sue/bully other, better companies out of business! A quick Google search will show all the nasty business practices Cybergun is up to. This was my first gun, a great springer, but the company is terrible! Look around major stores like evike or airsoftgi for better alternatives :).

@04upload Actually a ton of decent businesses sell good quality airsoft guns for decent prices, like the ones I mentioned. ^_^ They sell a variety of products that aren't Cybergun/CYMA brand. There are plenty of online stores in the UK and other parts of Europe as well (it's a bigger sport there, from my understanding). If you wanna get it straight from the source but pay a lot of shipping, there's various sites based in Hong Kong too. Lots of alternatives for better quality :)

@krayziebonejr oh my god, let me explain this to you. an airsoft gun, even if it is the same exact title gun, is NOT the same quality as a more expensive version of the "same" gun. if you get a cheaper version, and i know from experience, it WILL NOT hold up as well.

@SingleBlackMom springers are definatley a good start. they are reliable in the sense that they dont need batterys nor gas. They are good for target practice and backyard wars, maybe even some sniping. If your willing to pay $30 for a springer, also take a look at LPAEG (low power automatic electric rifle). they are low power and great for backyards, but they have a plastic gear box (not too pro). go on evike.com and see what they got, if you like something, look it up on youtube for reviews :)

@BLADEWO1FZ Hop-Up is a system that when you shoot, a little knob hits the BB and causes the BB to spin upwards, giving it more range, but a little less accuracy (depending on range and how much hop up is on)

a BAX system gives the BB an upward spin... it pretty much gives the BB more range

@MrCassaroleCyrus BAX has 2 Rubber-Rails, that gives the BB a more Stable Spin, than the 1 rail hop up. But on my BAX gun one rail has more grip, so the BB flies to the left, even in closed rooms :(
