  • very nice! i dont think he fully understands that he is a dog. good stuff

  • he's cute!!

  • He's so cute.

  • m bull mastiff is named tank to!

  • bullmastiffs are awsome for everything!

  • He is saying: "The plate is empty " :D

  • one of these things pooped in my buddies backyard like a year ago and its still there!

  • RIP big dog tank! 8s good for a bullmastif.im thinkin of gettin a boxer or one of these jus worried about the short lifespan....

  • nice guale

  • You da tank!!! I know by nature Mastiffs are big sweet hearts! But if I saw this big guy come barreling at me at night,I'd probably scream like a B*tch and run!!!

  • Nice that you elevate his dish like that. Suppose to prevent bloating.

  • @ethicomm not just bloat, they are at a high risk for getting twisted intestines.

  • ive always wanted one of these dogs, but my dad got a massive american bulldog who fights with everything! so we couldnt risk the fights between them! :(

  • i've always had good experiences with the bull mastiffs i work with...they're very gentle and loving dogs...and even in tank's old age,he played with the other dogs and puppies.they're also supposed to be very good with children...

the only downside is their short life-span.6-8 years is too short of a time to spend with such a spectacular dog...

    oh,and their poop is HUGE.

  • @simplywhitneymcgee

They do seem friendly dogs. But my american bulldog is a fighter so i wouldnt want the mastiff to fught and to get hurt!! However my dog is sooo friendly with humans, just not dogs! We also have a miniture jackrussel and thats the only dog he loves and the size difference between them is ridiculous! haha but i definatley want one in the future, and of course i will get my dad to clean the poo!! :)

  • @simplywhitneymcgee we just lost our 3 year old to intestinal cancer last month and it left my wife and I devastated. they are like your children, but unlike kids they never grow up and are always reliant on you, we get our new puppy in 3 weeks thanks for posting Tank is one speciaal boy, absolutely handsome. RIP 'Moocher'

  • so sad u had 2 put him down. hes gorgeous!!

  • big boy drinkin out of gallon buckets, you gotta love it

  • theyre so cute and mean looking at the same time :)

  • do him make the big poop or small?

  • huge poops...a lot like cow pies,only smellier,i think.

  • good to know. im buying a BM puppy tomorrow and ill make sure to elevate it as he grows. thanks

  • stunning boy!! we have our own bundle of drool also, :0) , he's an 18 month Naukeen wieghing in at 10.5 stones but a total big teddy bear! Best dog's in the World bar NONE!!

  • very handsome boy !! and so lovely too see a pet so happy and proud !!!

  • beutiful dog! and good job of educating people about the bowls.... wish i done it for my dane. unfortunitly she got bloat, and i didnt know anything about it....

  • i've actually considered posting a video specifically to talk about that...

and it's awful you had to learn about bloat the hard way.

    but!

there's also a procedure people can do for their dogs - where they actually staple or stitch the stomach down so it won't twist...which would be worth it in the long run,i think...

  • i wasnt aware of that! i'll have to ask my vet about that, thanks! i think it would be a great idea to post a vid about bloat, it would benifit many people and, more importantly....the dogs! : )

  • @simplywhitneymcgee I found that out the hard way also. My 1 1/2 year old Bull mastiff got bloat. $3000 later at the vet and he's back to being the big goofy dog he is. Very scary. Cool Dog!

  • @Cer510 not a fun lesson to learn, but i'm glad your pup's feeling better! they are very goofy dogs - tank always played with the puppies, even in his last few weeks.

  • The reason for that is that its better for them to eat up high and drink at the same level as there such large dogs it means they dont have to bend there heads down so far to drink or eat

  • why is the water dish up so high?

  • we elevate water and food dishes for the bigger, deeper chested dogs to avoid bloat.

since bloat is often fatal, especially in older dogs like tank,we do what we can to prevent it.

  • Thanks. My AmBull is about 109 lbs and is probably as tall as Tank (lankier though). I'm putting his dishes up tonight.

  • what a doll

  • I love these dogs. They are extremely loving and gentle, despite their size!
