  • Let me say one thing DE.. you dont say like DE.. you say ik like duh or du. get it??????

  • @IDEAALBEELD1 indeed! Ironmonger, 6 letters :)

  • 'de patat' sounded alright. As did 'mes', 'kom', 'koffie', 'banaan', 'appels' (the second time) and, not surprisingly, 'grapefruit'. (I prefer the word 'pompelmoes' for the latter, but I'm the only one). You didn't get close to the diphthong 'ui' I'm aftraid. The trick is not to make it end in an 'oo' sound as in English 'ow'. The final element is a front rounded vowel as in French 'tu'. Try saying French 'feuille' or say English 'house' with a strong Northern Irish accent! :)

  • I'm dutch and I've already heard a lot of English speaking people try to say dutch words, but your the best! Keep practicing, en veel succes met het Nederlands!

  • he tried, give him that.

  • "r" and "sch" is really hard, i know,

but it would be wonderful if you come closer to that pronounciation..

this one is really bad.. :s

  • de soaker... XD

  • Dank u wel.

  • de lepel = de "lay-p-uh-l" not "leh-p-uh-l", but good try haha

  • haha your pronunciation sucks reeaall bad XD

  • funny to hear someone mangle our language. sounds that seem so easy and natural to us, suddenly sound really difficult. good effort though :)

  • Go for Dutch lessons and learn how to pronounce these words.

  • Now there's a definite article where u don't have to stress to say it .. "DE"^^

  • Are you German or something? Your Dutch is HORRIBLE!

  • lets just say u cant speak dutch. :)

The ui as in union is awful spoken by you...

  • HE IS MISPRONOUNCING MANY WORDS AND HE DOES NOT KNOW WHAT SOUNDS SOME OF THE ALPHABETS MAKE. FOR EXAMPLE, IN DUTCH,

THE J IS PRNOUCED LIKE Y IN ENGLISH AND THE W IS PRONOUNCED LIKE V IN ENGLISH

  • you said cheese not totally good its "kaaaas" not kas and saucer - schotel is not sjotel but s-gotel

with ch it's always or g from groot, groen or sh from shampo. and if it's sch it's always said as s-g

  • You dont need that sort of stuff... every one speaks english in holland ;)

  • @argtv3v6tb But if you do attempt to speak dutch, you dont want to be criticized for inaccuracy.

  • het water (uuater) ? or Vater ?

  • @Fokaaah777

it sounds like de VATER. you dont pronounce the w like in english, you pronounce the W like the english V.

  • Haha, you aren't Dutch, I can notice that, but you're pretty good at the pronunciation :D It must be hard to say all those "aa" "eu" "G" etc.

  • it's not an good accent and thats come over as a mistake. but keep on going

  • Zuiker Brood! = Pão de Açúcar in Rio!! hehehhehe

  • thanks a lot ur great..it help me a lot..^._^

  • Your (Dutch) pronunciation sound funny, but not very bad I think.

By words like 'water' and 'de kaas', you have to say a long aaaa. Also you need to talk out the 'e', in words like 'lepel' and 'peren' as a long éééé, but I can't explain very well.

  • Very helpful, just what I was looking for.
