  • @Doug2World

    Julian Rachlin

  • They are telling a beautiful sad story.... The story that each of you has just lived... the life...

  • Isn't the last one a polka?

  • @godag45 Yes it is. And a brilliant one at that

  • wonderfull, abolutely wonderful.....it's sounds divine

  • R.i.P tree from

  • terrific!!!

  • crazy nice !

  • Junior Oliveira? ...

  • Wooooooooooo!! Shosty!! What a surprise!!! What is this piece???????????

  • chitarri

  • These pieces, as well as the inspired way it is played, IMO evokes all of the essence of what it means to be human.

The fleeting glimpses of nameless faces in the audience tell the whole story. Especially the woman at 0:56, also at 1:31.

I have never heard 2 minds as one like the playing of these two artists.....they were in their own personal world, the moments at 4:05 and 6:26 are the definition of LOVE....too bad love does is so fleeting. Moments like this give hope though. Thank you both

  • This is my city!!

:) It's called the Prinsengracht concert,

    It's every year in Amsterdam.

  • @NinaLoveILY What month of the year? Is this open to public? Are you lucky..

  • @LordMSh 3rd week of August. Yup, it's a free open air concert! Google Prinsengrachtconcert and the first hit gets you to podcasts of these concerts as far back as 2004 (hint: at AVRO Klassiek)

  • @LNcello Thanks my dear, we love her music, we will try to be there next summer.

  • I just love the music and how everyone is in a boat

  • the perfect combination!!... feelings + technique + stradivarius in both of them, just excellent..

  • The real name of this?

  • schostakovitsch "prelude"

What is it but the essence of being human?

    When we missed?

  • Come on, Shostakovitch is a genius.

  • That's Lİfe!

  • het zit hem in de naam

  • mooie meid he verdorie. mooie muziek ook. heerlijke avond zo te zien

  • The first part in 2 and half mins is the most bueatfull part. I would like to listen to it time and time again.

  • Certified Intergalactic! I didn't know Shostakovich can sound this good!

  • As posted before: Five pieces for two violins and piano by Dmitri Shostakovich, arranged by Lewon Atowmjan

  • Fantastic. Perfect playing and a beautiful piece. Please could someone tell me what the piece is?

  • Evocador - Alegre - Sorprendente Sjostakovich! Gracias por publicarlo

  • this is really good. In my opinion, stradivarius violins aren't just very finely built and have the best tone, i also feel that they resonate the feelings of the user.

truly outstnading. i commend antonio for his work and feel jealous of those who have the priveldge of playing one of his instruments

  • I absolutely agree.

I wish I could hold a strad even for a few minutes. that would make my life as a violinist complete!

it's just so sad that these violins do not naturally last forever as they are biodegradable. I won't await for that day when they will turn to dust. U_U

I love jansen and her former bf's rendition of this piece. truly stunning. imagine how love can beautifully produce music. =)

  • they sound so playful. I envy them. lol!

  • it shows that their commited to the peice with everything that they have. i agree with you, i envy them

  • Really beautiful!

  • Gracias ,desde buenos aires. : )

    Fantastic !

  • absolutely stunning. it's food for the soul

  • Who is the man playing with Janine? He is fantastic !

  • his name is Julian Rachlen

  • he is also her boyfriend !!

  • I thought the violinist was her boyfriend?

  • Actually, ex-boyfriend.

  • I admire Janine's passion .She puts so much of it into what she plays.

  • Good stuff. How do I get my hands on a copy of this concert in DVD or CD format?

  • this is absolutely incredible! totally love it :) great composition, shostakovich is truly a genius

  • Really beautiful! My heart is crying

  • This is an easy piece with a ton of room for expression. That's what makes this performance so beautiful.

  • beautiful

  • Ohh... So wonderful! I recognize this music! I must have played it some time...

  • Their violins are tonally a very nice match. They should perform together more often. Maybe a tour. Lovely lovely lovely.

  • It has nothing to do with their violins, they'd sound good on anything. They know how to match their sounds using their brains and technique. People need to stop giving so much credit to the violins great players use.

  • By the way, fault in titles.

Instead of "prelude, waltz and menuet" it's "prelude, waltz and polka"

  • what are they playing???????

  • Having played this on violin/piano myself: Five pieces for two violin's and piano by Dmitri Shostakovich.

    Arranged by Lewon Atowmjan

For detailed publisher per country PM me.

  • can someone tell me exactly what is the title of what they are playing?

    thank's

  • Absolutely Beatiful!
