I love this game. Probably the best RPG ever in terms of "capturing the essence of what RPG is" - immersion and multiple choices.

But this intro?

I don't want to see it. Ever again. Never. Ever.

The game is amazing, the gameplay feels totally different depending on your clan, abilities, gender, choices etc. Needless to say, I've finished it a ton of times.

The intro though was unskippable, took almost six minutes and was riddled with bugs and stuttering at launch.

"Good evening. My fellow-fellow-fellow-fellow kindred". Aaah, nightmares.

@a0classcriminal Ah, I thought you might have some negative commentary on the meritorical side of the speech, which I rather liked - I never was really bored by it, but that's just me. Well, it's a shame the way the game was treated - shoved out of the front door before being finished by the dev team (or that's what I've read). That's what really angers me.

Yes, it's a real shame. I don't think any other game was such an amazing RPG experience (as opposed to "slasher with stats" that many seem to think "RPG elements" are), and its, and the developer company's treatment was a big loss to the gaming community as a whole.

There isn't a single line of dialogue that feels off, the pacing is amazing, characters compelling, the plot intriguing and the odd joke genuinely funny. It's a real gem, and community patches help a lot.

Yeah I know what you mean.

The crap gets all the attention and the gems are forced out before their potential is realized. Deus ex was the same way.

Yeah it was rushed and alot wasn't finished.

Like fans found cut content that suggested you could stay with unanco and it would have had a huge effect on the story.

Things like that got shafted when they were rushed to release it.

@camil2003 That might have been a good call. It could take years before dev team woud put everything they wanted. You've got to draw the line somewhere. I myself don't receive the oryginal Deus Ex as unfinished in any way . It's a huge game and I hardly ever had any technical issues with it. Bloodliness on the other hand... well...

Haha yeah you made a good point though I would have loved to see more of what deus ex could have been(It wouldn't have been a disappointment like duke nukem forever).

@camil2003 Do I? I mean, I wasn't really "around" when Deus Ex came out. I played it in circa 2003, 02-ish maybe. I can more relate to what's been happening when Vampire's been coming out. Or at least I think so.

Playing as a malkavian was and always will be my favourite. It's purely worth it for the conversation you have the man in your tv and the argument with that stop sign.
