beautiful camaro mines the same color 87 IROC-Z and i think the blue looks SO good on these camaros. with the ultra blue all cleaned up they look like a fancy sports car to the untrained eye that doesnt know.

If it's stock it'd be a 305 tune port. They never put the 5 speed with a 350 on the third gen.

Check the vin number. They never made a 350 tune port with the 5 speed Manual. If you give me the vin I'll check it right now and show you.

This is correct only 305 with 5 speed from the factory and correct vin showing convertible, however people bought 350 auto's and had ASC convert them but vin shows t top 350. factory said 350 had to much torque for 5 speed manual the 6 speed was built to take much more ! I suspect Johnny boy has a 305 or it is not orignal what a dipstick!

Hey. I actually have this 89 iroc convertible in blue w/ the 305, but it's an automatic. Was wondering what upgrades are good to add HP without changing the engine? Dynomax or Magnaflow exhaust?

5.7 is a little faster than 5 speed 5.0 but top speed much higher on 5.7 .

You sold that lovely looking car! great sound from that exhaust system. I have a mint totally standard rust free red 1988 IROC 5 speed convertible with ALL options including 4 wheel discs and performance axle customer special order half leather seats over in England.

Cant beat a stick shift. I will do a video eventually.

Need info on performance exhausts and I dont have to run a cat.

too bad it's a 305?no way...a 5 speed 305 will outperform an auto 350 any day...and not only that but a 5 speed is just better for this kind of car-autos are for SUVs and luxury saloons

lol there's only a small power difference and the 5.0l's peak power only comes slightly later than the 5.7l

also although Chevy said that the 5 speed manual couldn't take the 5.7's torque it easily could-there was just very little market for the manual. I would love a manual 5.7...think I might drop a 5.7 into a 5.0 one day-it's a straightforward enough conversion

That car was "it" in 1989. It was a special order car and was delivered with leather seats, T-5 (5 speed), TPI, posi rear axle, a CD player! (yes a factory CD player) etc etc... Some of you may have seen it on Power Tour 2006. Thanks!! The only thing not stock on the car was the Flowmaster cat-back. I think the tips look great :-)
