i just thought it was about no matter how good at controling their environment, man can't escape the impact he makes. less then god, less then the devil, man is still just a monkey in the scheme of things.

i just think its a very catchy song with a good sound to it ... he could be mumbling incoherently and it would still be a good song.

Its about a magical word called "enviromentalism" that personally I dont give a crap about. Lol im a bad human. But anyways. The monkey represents Earth and all its living things. The under water man is also like the fish and the natural wonders of the sea. The numbers at the end (man 5 devil 6 god 7) Is from the guitarist (i think) read that in a hebrew book. But anyways. its about pollution and global warming and life on earth and mans impact on it.

@barws There is a hole in the ozone layer which is in the sky. This is a result of air pollution. The song also talks about water pollution so it sounds like pollution in general. Creature in the sky could be birds and underwater guy could be fish and monkey could just be a metaphor for animal in general. If god is 7 and the devil is six and man is five then monkey is 4. We are mindlessly polluting and causing animals to die and not giving a shit. Is that possible?
