Sorry, due to the fact that NU stole Bumakaya and that this is a public website, I can't post the answer to your question here...baka kasi pati meaning ng cheer natin nanakawin ng iba e! Diba?! Wala namang meaning ung Bumakaya ng NU diba??
Anyway, it's common knowledge naman anyway na Rektikano means "THE RIGHT TO RULE".
"Rekti" coming from the same Latin root word of "rectangle" and "rectify", meaning "(to) right"..and "Kano" from the same root word of "canon", meaning "rule" or "law".
And as far as I know, Zama Zipa Zam means "bow and arrow". Medyo safe naman tayo diyan kasi no one would use a cheer with that meaning unless ARCHERS talaga sila. hehe
Although...UP's "UP Fight" cheer does exactly follow the same beat but with different words...
Excuse me, this cheer was conceived by JJ Dy of the DLSZ Pep Squad, who later became an officer of the DLSU Pep Squad, batch 95. Meanwhile, the earliest anyone ever heard the "buma" from NU was only 2 or 3 years ago. I mean, do you even know what "bumakaya imakadiwa" means? That's right, even though cheers can be copied, history and hard evidence cannot. And besides, why the hell would La Salle copy anything from NU, which hasn't produced anything truly remarkable in its history?
hahah yeh thats absolutely right jaimel88, la salle will never copy anything from anyone, even from its arch rival, we have our own line of relevance which is up until now a unique identity, why should la salle copy something rom NU? hahahha
The One La Salle Song is in YouTube, it was done by Juan Miguel Salvador and Br. Bernie Oca FSC. The Green Archer Song is in the "ANIMO LA SALLE!" vcd, purchase also the "Silverde" cd at the DLSAA office. Download a lot of our old fight songs and cheers for your MP3 or as ringtones for your cell at the DLSAA site.
GREEN ARCHER SONG Circa 1930's (Bugle blast) Rah! Rah! Rah! (Bugle blast) Rah! Rah! Rah! On into the fight Green Archers, (Rah!) Fight to victory, (GREEN! WHITE! FIGHT!)
