Sander Van Doorn mentioned that "Radiohead - Everything In Its Right Place" is his all-time favourite song... Armin van Buuren: 'Played in A State Of Trance'
@silmarilliaz Indeed it does sound like they always come back but this track seems to have better dynamics as far as compression, attack and progression. I likee
Before you all go "wow awesome track" go have a listen to Arnej - They Always Come Back released in 2008. Better yet, load both tracks into a DAW and compare the waveforms. This is a cool track to be sure, but it's a MASSIVE ripoff. Just sayin'...
I don't like it, it's basically a very simple 3-note loop from beginning to end, with Thom's voice kinda slapped in there somewhere. He should try a little harder if he's gonna take a shot at "remixing" something based on an orignal that had someone's heart and soul poured into it. Strip it bare of the cool sounding synth, musically it's shit. Slap on some rave reviews, and everyone eats it up.
@andykashmir What's wrong with having a "3-note loop"? Not to mention they are chords not notes anyway. Nowhere does it say that a complex melody or chord progession = "good". Traffic is two notes! It's fair enough if you simply don't like this song, but musically as you say, this song isn't shit. It's well produced, has a really clean sound and from my own experience really gets the crown going (most of who I'm sure haven't heard any of these rave reviews let alone know what song it is)!
@distinguish12 It is mastered well. Two things bug me; it's a "remix" of a Radiohead song it sounds nothing like. Anything with Radiohead's name on it will get buzz. Also, throughout the vid are quotes from the biggest DJs that Sander Van Doorn doubtless requested as a favor, this is one way things sell. We live in age where Kesha gets the crowd going, so that it can do that means nothing. It's an overly simplistic arrangement for 7 minutes that doesn't merit the buzz it's getting. No dynamics.

agreed. it's enjoyable for a minute or two but gets boring really fast. same crap over and over with no dynamics at all. i completely agree.
if you are going to take the opening track to "album of the decade" (by rolling stone) you need to do more with it than just this.
listen to what Yorke does with his version. his original is still trippy as all hell, AND continually interesting, AND has range and change-ups. it transports your mind. this does nothing even close to that.

@andykashmir sorry, but i didn't read any rave reviews before hearing this song, I heard it as part of a tiesto mix and thought "hey, now that song is really awesome" before later bothering to find out what it was. A song doesn't need to be written by Beethoven or Mozart to qualify it or give it validity, it just has to be enjoyable to listen to, period.
i remember @ brisbane when SVD brought this beat in and it was lightly showering, i turned around in the middle of the crowd peaking hard as fuck and just watched the grey darkish rain clouds roll in over the stadium as the water ran down my face it was magic, the earth was communicating with us
@Handrewallheimr *Used to be* a monster. He makes shitty Prog House now. He's abandoned the edgy Tech Trance that made me respect him in the first place.
@RVLVNGDRS its just the melody. You can take any melody, even if copy written and as long as you change some effects and branch away from the actual song you don't have to give anyone else credit, it's considered an original track.

Wicked song, but uh, the wrong form of "its" in the name? "Its" is possessive, with "it's" it means "Everything in it is right place". Oops?
